I usually don't like pink but this room is gorgeous. I love what you did with it, where did you get that owl picture?

That is awesome! My husband loves chess but hates the lakers  Tongue

But since I was curious about this set I googled it and apparently it is a collectors. One site was selling it around 350 US!

I am trying to learn how to sew wearable garments. So I try to pick easier patterns. They aren't the best pieces but I am learning.
I made this one first:

I didn't know what I was doing so I just using some premade bias tape around all the edges. I had no idea how to use interfacing. It is okay, but need black stockings for it.

Then I  made this one but lengthened it and tried to use interfacing on the neck. It came out much better but now I am not sure about the print I used:

The neck line is even but my hair was pushing one side open.

Here is a close up of the fabric:

I have a question. Does the second one look weird with that print? It was cute on the bolt but now I think it looks too wintery/girly. I may make belts to help cinch the waist too.

28  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Discussion and Questions / Dyeing Roving and Felting? on: March 09, 2010 07:48:27 PM
I tried to dye some roving and the colors came out nice except I had to do 50 second intervals in the microwave for quiet awhile before the dye exhausted. I am not sure if I felted it but it seems that my roving lost it's bounce or fluffiness. How come other dyed rovings looks as soft as when they are undyed and mine always look like flat pieces of ick? Do I heat it for too long? Or do I need to comb it to get it fluffy?

Those are all really pretty. Did you draw/color the butterflies or are they like stickers?

Love all the colors.
