re: herrnhuter stern - omg its so CLEAN and PERFECT wow. And the tutorial is so wow too. All my stars still look completely sloppy compared to that, and someone once counted like 80 or 90 hanging from my ceiling, so I don't know how I'll ever get them that *perfect* if I haven't managed to yet. Wow.
, I think your stars are just as perfect as mine. Pictures tend to show another realty, mine is not as perfect as it looks. Respect for doing as many stars as you already did. I usually tend to need a break after about five stars before I am ready to do new ones.
Are the mini lightbulbs little like christmas lights? if you use lights that can burn out, how to you leave an openable and closeable space to get inside and change the bulb if it burns out? I have a big metal lamp from ebay that looks like its the same shape except on the 3-sided spaces, its flat instead of a point, and one of the 4-sided points is on a hinge to open up and change the bulb.
I guess thy are like little christmas lights, it's like a E5,5 lightbulb, if that helps.
I just leave one opening instead of a point, that is what the "square frame" in my tutorial is for, to keep the star stable at the opening.
That way the air can circulate in and out of the star and prevent it from incinerating. Once it hangs somewhere one doesn't really notice there is a point missing.
