We stocked a huge bale of it but gave it away to local schools - if only you'd posted a few weeks earlier Smiley
22  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Like this tagline? Got a better idea? on: May 14, 2006 09:45:49 PM
I like "Think outside the rhinestone".  Smiley

23  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Another label name conundrum on: April 24, 2006 03:33:42 AM
Just a question on the original post - how will you get their mailing details? The newspaper wouldn't provide you with those kinds of details.

Am I missing something?
24  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: The Sampler on: April 24, 2006 03:29:44 AM
however, you will likely benefit way more from getting your work out there than from being too cautious.

I agree. I have heard that the Sampler is a great way to reach new people. Go for it!
25  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Yet another business name post... on: April 24, 2006 03:27:02 AM
I'd play on the Tori name (if that is your name)- it's really pretty, and lots of words sound good with it.

I agree. ToriTotes, ToriBags, I could go on but I'm sure they would start getting lamer!
26  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: seeking some courage... on: April 24, 2006 03:24:18 AM
I think you should stick with etsy for the time being.

When you have built a customer base there then you might want to start thinking about getting your own website.

Its great that you have a partner who is encouraging you like that. Good on you!
27  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / AUSTRALIA / Is everyone happy with their current bead suppliers? on: April 08, 2006 11:11:09 PM
What could be better: Customer service, price, location, uniqueness of the beads. What sort of beads would you like to get your hands on? Pearls, lampwork beads, any other unique beads that you'd love to get in Australia?

We have really good communication with our customers and handles start at $3.95 per pair.
29  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Shipping packaging for jewelry... on: April 08, 2006 10:59:22 PM
I would wrap the pieces in tissue paper, tie a little ribbon round them and put them in a bubble padded envelope.
