5261  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: One Tiny Thing Round 10 - Signups Closed, Mail out by January 30 on: February 01, 2007 12:13:24 PM
Yahooooooooooo, we have 100% of the packages mailed and many received.  Looks like this is going to be a flake free swap!
5262  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Swap a yard of fabric swap - February on: February 01, 2007 11:06:39 AM
I claim from xladyluckx the following:

1/2 yard horns on black
1/2 yard orange/brown/black cheetah

This is my second claim.

This is what I have to offer - it is all new fabric and most of it has not been washed.

Orange and purple flowers (it looks vintage but it's brand new) - cotton - FQ
Yellow and white stripes with blue flowers - I believe this is cotton - I have 2 FQ of this (not a 1/2 yard - they are 2 seperate pieces)
Medium green with dark green fuzzy designs - I don't know what kind of fabric this is as I received it in another swap and the
sender didn't know what it was.  It's smooth on the back and the dark green designs are raised on the front.  PM me if you want more details.  FQ

White with blue polka dots - cotton - FQ
White with blue stripes - cotton - 1 yard (I will divide this up so if you only want a FQ or 1/2 yard, that is fine)

Multi colored stripes - cotton - FQ
Crayon material - cotton - FQ
White flowers on a green background - cotton - FQ

Lime green with lines and flowers - cotton - FQ
Black with white and red flowers - cotton - FQ

Grey fabric with game pieces - t-shirt fabric - the main part of this fabric measures 17.5" x 27" (we will call it a FQ) and then there is a little extra that is 13" x 9" (if you can see the little yellow paper on the fabric, you can see the shape of the fabric - the FQ is the large part and the extra is the part sticking up)
Grey waffle material - t-shirt fabric - 30" wide tube x 1 yard long (so if you cut the tube open, it would be 60" wide fabric)
5263  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 19 on: February 01, 2007 08:36:09 AM
I claim atsiefartsie for:

set of mini beaded icicles: I have a crochet christmas tree, maybe 16 inches tall, that I want to put beaded icicles on (they don't need to be white, but light colours/irridescent/translucent would be good, and 1.5 - 2 inches tall each).  I had planned on making them myself, but I have been having eye trouble and can't focus for long on small beads

This is my 2nd claim this round (in fact, this morning).  I'm in Canada and here is my list:

1)  Tablecloth (at least 50" x 70") made with sunflower, leaves, snowflake or spring flower material.

2)  Bright colored cotton fabric (any design is fine as long as it's nice and not creepy) - a minimum of FQs please

3)  I'm looking for specific Laurel Burch fabric - I'd love a FQ minimum of her Hearts and Hummingbirds and anything from her
     Jungle Song collection.

4)  An amigurumi elephant, penguin or pig (think, smaller is better)

5)  Quilted pillow cover for a 16" pillow (I'll provide the pillow) in dark blues and gold. (yes, this has been claimed
but I'd don't mind another one)

6)  I'd love a handmade plush teddy bear - around 12" would be great! (handmade=nothing store bought)

7)  Crochet hook roll with snowman, snowflake or sunflower material (or other bright colored material)

8 )  My hubby collects hot sauce (3-5 oz bottles) and I'd like to add more to his collection - ones with unusual pictures on the
labels, bottle shapes or names would be great.  (I know there are some out there with rather 'riske' pictures
on the labels and I'm not interested in those)  If you don't want to worry about duplicating what he already has
then PM me and I can send you a list of what he already has.

Sorry this list isn't very long - if I stall the swap, I will try to think of more things to add.

I claim ChloeisCrazy for these items:

- fabric with small scale prints so I can try to make some clothes myself!

- any little things that can be used in a doll house!

and who knows what else I might add
  Shocked

This is my first claim this round.  I am in Canada and this is my list:

1)  Tablecloth (at least 50" x 70") made with sunflower, leaves, snowflake or spring flower material.

2)  Bright colored cotton fabric (any design is fine as long as it's nice and not creepy) - a minimum of FQs please

3)  I'm looking for specific Laurel Burch fabric - I'd love a FQ minimum of her Hearts and Hummingbirds and anything from her

I'm not sure if I've stalled this or if this swap is just running slowly.  I've added 4 more pieces of material to my list (see above) and I hope someone can find something because these 12 pieces are about all I have in my stash right now that is large enough to offer in this swap!
5266  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: 2007 Color Craft-A-Long on: February 01, 2007 07:20:53 AM
Giff great job on that sweater - I love it!  Silver Ilix I really like the baby blanket, too.  I would love to live in a world of rainbow colored items  Grin

I haven't even given February a thought yet - red is not a color I usually use to craft so it's going to be interesting to see what I can come up with - maybe something to give away.
5267  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 12" Crochet Square of the Month Craftalong - FEBRUARY on: February 01, 2007 07:16:34 AM
Good for you to get it done within the month  Grin

Very beautiful!

I'm in awe of quilters who are brave enough to try free motion quilting - I did once on a very small part of a quilt and ripped the whole thing out when I didn't like the look of it and now I'm not brave enough to try again.

One question - what you do put on the label on the back that is shown in the first picture?
5269  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Quilt Challenge #1 Mini Garden Steps on: February 01, 2007 07:07:15 AM
Looks good to me!  How big (or little) is it?
5270  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 12" Crochet Square of the Month Craftalong - FEBRUARY on: January 31, 2007 06:01:02 PM
In some place in the world it is February 1st (even if it's still January 31st here) so I am going to go ahead and post this month's squares.

I wanted to go with a heart theme this month and hopefully the people trying the easy square won't find it difficult and those making the experienced won't find it too easy.

I made the easy square exactly as the instructions say and it worked out to 12" for me.  I used a size 5.0 hook.

Easy

I used a size 5.0 hook for the experienced square but found that I had to add an additional row of hdc to get it to 12".
