I received from Modus Operandi today and let me say, this girl has TALENT!
Enclosed in the package was the cutest little box in the world! She knew that I liked tulips and so she painted one on this box (both on the top and running down the side) and even included a very tiny ladybug. The box is about 1 1/2" tall and has a 2" diameter, so it's small but oh, so adorable.
Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to introduce to you ALICE! She is the creation of Eliea and now resides at my house.
The first picture of her is in her 'birthday suit' (and I think her expression shows her alarm at me showing this picture) and in the second, she is modeling the wonderful scarf that came along with her (it's to help keep her warm during the cold Canadian winters.)
Wow, I'm only gone 4 days and this thread expands so much.
hokiekate, I love your quilt!!! I'm amazed you did that with a regular sewing machine - I thought quilting like that could only be done with a long arm. You've inspired me to give it a try sometime when I make another baby quilt. Did you draw the design on before hand or just 'wing it'?
