9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Nativity scenes on: January 10, 2006 01:35:02 PM
I am planning on creating a nativity scene utilizing larger sized dolls...i have 11 more months to accomplish my goal....coming up with baby jesus should be easy but i plan to look at thrift stores for joseph and mary sized dolls (scale will probably be about 3 feet tall I'm guessing) of course I need to build a small manger/shelter too out of wood. Has anyone ever done this or have any ideas to use or pitfalls to avoid---thanks so much!
10  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / 18" Artificial Christmas trees - 5 of them.... on: January 10, 2006 12:56:06 PM
bought 'em at target (when target went 90% off christmas) ...i purchased 5 small trees for just 39 cents each! Regularly $4 each...so now i'm wondering if you guys can give me some creative ideas on what i should do with them? I'm thinking I could create theme designs for each tree....perhaps a small teddy bear tree, sports related tree...etc.....plus, i know there are many factors that go into price but what would u figure these would bring in? many thanks!
