31  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Crochet Recycled Rugs on: January 01, 2012 11:47:01 PM
I love the yellow in the first one.  I'm working on a big rug right now.  Well I was working on it, it's on hiatus now but I love the way it works up.  Great job.

35  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: soda cans on: May 30, 2011 05:57:05 PM
That's basically how I cut them but with regular scissors.  Wish I had those cool electric scissor things  Cry  I have mainly Coca-Cola cans but would like some other colors.  I mainly don't drink to many other flavors.

Ugh.   Im a serious procrastinator and I need help!

Same here.  I only finally cleaned up my pig pen of a bedroom/work area because my godmother died and I bought her really awesome vintage pink formica table from her daughter-in-law, so I had to have some place to put it. Thus the room got totally cleaned and rearranged.

1. finish current amigurumi.  Giving myself two weeks to finish that since it's only a head right now.  June 10

2. iron interfacing to t-shirts for t-shirt/memory quilt.  Need to get interfacing for this.  June 10

3. cut fabric squares for memory quilt.  June 3

Does anyone have experience using soda can's for things?  I want to cut off the tops and bottoms and use the middle part since it will be flat.  I want to use it to make armor for an amigurumi I'm working on.
38  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Baby Hedgehog Finished! on: May 17, 2011 09:58:55 PM
I know it would change the size but do you think it would be possible to make this out of worsted weight yarn?
39  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / Re: Advanced Amigurumi Techniques? on: May 15, 2011 07:17:03 PM
I'd like to make blankets, but the length of time involved in that endeavor is intimidating.

That's why you should have a few projects going at once.  I can never finish a project straight through unless it's fairly small.  I have a 12 pointed star afghan going that I get out every so often and work a few rounds on whenever I'm in the mood

40  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / Re: Pulling my hair out over Amigurumi on: May 15, 2011 07:12:29 PM
Crocheting in the round involves no joining.  do the first 6 sc in a ring, then crochet straight into the very first sc you made.  put the stitch marker into that sc.
