21  not another scarf! in Knitting: Completed Projects by flyingmouse29 on: October 29, 2006 09:12:52 AM
this one is really cool, i promise. my momma went out and bought me a whole bunch of frilly, ribbon yarn that really isn't good for anything but scarves.  so i turned it into a 12 feet long super scarf. when I have it wrapped around my neck once it still touches the ground... sorry I dont have a full shot, but you can just imagine it.  Tongue
i get lots of comments from people at school, and I have a feeling I'm going to have to make a bunch of them for christmas. good thing my mom bought me a bunch of that yarn!

22  granny square pillow cozy in Crochet: Completed Projects by flyingmouse29 on: October 29, 2006 09:09:18 AM
i got my wisdom teeth out thursday, so i had lots of (painful) time on my hands. I decided I would finish this project (which i started several months ago). I love the bright, random colors, and it certainly looks better then the bland brown pillow it used to be. Sorry if this post makes no sense, i'm still on a lot of vicadin. Tongue

here's the first side (the side i finished a long time ago):

and here's the new side:

also, you can see my beautiful cat Cindy snuggling up next to it...

and this is the result!

he's slightly retarded, but i love him anyways. hes going to be a  present for my sister, we have affinities for slightly retarded things. Cheesy

24  my ugly blanket in Crochet: Completed Projects by flyingmouse29 on: March 15, 2006 04:47:30 PM
when i first started crocheting i wanted to make something big... i dont know why. so i made this.
i started with leftover yarn, then used some full skeins for the rest. i was proud of it when i made it, which was almost 3 years ago.   Tongue
its ugly, i know. but its warm.

25  Re: panta! (from a finnish pattern). in Knitting: Completed Projects by flyingmouse29 on: March 15, 2006 04:44:02 PM
so after watching this post grow and grow i decided i had to jump on the panta bandwagon.

i apologize about the state of my eyebrows. i had been playing with my panta and it messed them up. Tongue

in my foolings, i found another use for it!

i can play doctor! or.. crazy psycho knitting murderer...

27  Picture Frame Earring Holder in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by flyingmouse29 on: January 26, 2006 12:50:24 PM
My moms friend wanted to throw out this beautiful picture frame, and I (being the crafty person i like to think of myself as) had to rescue it and turn it into something beautiful. So I went to the hardware store and bought "hardware cloth" (actually just wire screen), cut it to fit, and staple-gunned it to the back of the frame. Voila! Gorgeous earring (and necklace, too) holder. I get tons of complements on it, partly because of how cool it is, and partly because I have an enormous earring collection.  Tongue  Enjoy!

I used Christmas ornament hooks to hang my necklaces from it.

Look at how cool the mold has made this thing look!
