23  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / C'est Paris! My new curtains... on: May 15, 2006 06:04:05 PM
This has been a work-in-progress for a few weeks (thanks to darn finals popping up right in the middle of my project! Sheesh!).  I finally finished them tonight.  It's hard to tell because they're behind my couch, but they reach to about 8in above the floor.

I love all your FOs!  Fantastic job.  The sweater turned-out lovely.
25  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Madwoman knits dress! (Witness: It was horrible!) on: May 15, 2006 08:13:18 AM
I agree with everyone. You look hawt lady!

I can imagine this dress with a nice jean jacket, some dark chocolate brown leather flat heel knee high boots, and a knitted beaded belt, with dangly earrings made out of rose colored beads and chocolate brown beads...yum!

What she said!!! It'd be perfect.
26  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: One Skein Stirling Cloche NOW WITH PATTERN, pg. 6! on: May 15, 2006 08:05:59 AM
What is the weight of the Stirling Mohair?  I think I may have something in my stash that would work, but I can't seem to find the weight of the Stirling.

PS - thanks for the AWESOME pattern!

28  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: my hat looks like a turnip. (or: WHY CAN'T I DO ANYTHING RIGHT?!) on: May 15, 2006 07:56:39 AM

I like it.

I think if you feel like you screwed-up a knitting project it's best to describe it as "modifying the pattern".  Then apply an adjective like "punk", "kitsch", or "mod".

Screw-up?  What screw-up?

I love it!!  Will you post the pattern?
30  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: (modified) Knitty's Mesilla on: April 29, 2006 08:22:46 PM
Hey. I love that.  It really looks nice on you.

For the record, I really like the funky embroidery on the original...but am in agreement regarding the picot.

Picot is one of those things I see that make me wanna tear my eyeballs out ... also mitered squares and anything entrelac.  I just wanna set it on fire and dance.

But, that's another post.  Great sweater.
