42  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: wire & crystal bead earrings and necklace on: October 01, 2004 09:33:20 AM
sweet stuff! you inspired me to make a pair of wicked sweet earrings. but anyway, the necklace- it is memory wire, yes? well, how do you fasten it in the back? i mean, you don't really need a fastener, because its memory wire, but what do you do so the cut ends dont stab you?
43  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re:Crochet Grocery Bag tote in progress on: April 18, 2004 03:44:02 PM

44  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / crocheted bikini on: March 20, 2004 05:51:04 PM
i was feeling low so i decided to get craftin' and i used some yarn i had laying around to practice making a bikini. i had toyed with the idea before but i didnt think i could do it.

well, even in the old scrappy hairy yarn, it looks good! or i think so. there are rough edges that i need to smooth out because i eyed it and i had no idea what i was doing.

but anyway... where can i get the kind of string i would need to really do this with? the kinda coated, cottony kind.... also, has anyone else ever done this before? any ideas for bottoms?

i want to post a pic... but HOW?
