1  Bulldozer Birthday Cake (or Loader, whatever) in Dessert by RebelScum on: April 21, 2010 01:43:39 PM
For my son's second birthday, I decided to make him a bulldozer cake (okay, actually it's a loader, but the kid is two and he doesn't always understand the difference).  I was super, super happy with the way this turned out!  It's only the second decorated cake I've ever made (the first was a train for his first birthday).  It's all edible, right down to the "dirt."   Grin  The hardest part for me to figure out was the track, and as you can see we ended up going with Hershey's bars.  It's a plain vanilla cake mix with regular decorator's frosting (my mom's recipe that she's been using since I was little).
C & C welcome!

2  Sesame Street Poncho Towels in Completed Projects by RebelScum on: December 22, 2009 06:54:40 PM
Hi, All,
I'm very new to posting projects but I've been a long-time lurker.   Grin  For Christmas I wanted to craft something special for my son.
I found these ultra soft blankets at Big Conglomerate Discount Store on Black Friday for $4 each.  I only used half the blanket, so I can still make blankets or towels out of the other half.  Then I appliqued the faces on.  It's the first time I've ever done an applique project and I thought it was tons of fun!  I was so happy with the way these came out! RebelBaby caught a glimpse and immediately started shouting character names, so I'm pretty sure they'll be a hit.
I present to you, Sesame Street Poncho Towels!

3  Q. What does the best aunt ever give the cutest baby ever? in Knitting: Completed Projects by RebelScum on: February 20, 2009 07:31:50 PM
A. The cutest hat ever, of course!  My sister knitted my son a skull hat for Christmas!  It's just about the cutest thing I've ever seen.  Personally, I can't knit to save my life, but she said it was enough of a pain that she wouldn't make another.  Smiley  You can see in the pictures that RebelBaby was totally grateful for all the hard work Auntie put into his new hat. Grin
By the way, this is my first post, so please let me know if the pics don't work or if something else is somehow amiss.  Thanks!
