21  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Another Elvis Purse! on: May 20, 2008 06:34:27 PM
Hey Craftsters! I made this purse for my Spanish teacher who's been teaching for 40 years and is retiring. She loves Elvis and I hope she loves this bag too. Enjoy!

The whole bag, excuse my not-so-professional photos.

Close-up of the fabric and ribbon trim.

Inside of the bag, shows the two pockets.

Shows the key-finder.

Thanks everyone for looking! Kiss

24  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Dragon Costume? on: March 28, 2008 04:48:39 PM
Hey Craftsters! I need your help! Okay, my mom is a 2nd grade teacher and she's putting on a play called the Reluctant Dragon. She asked me to make the dragon costume for this little boy.
I can make the feet and tail pretty easily I think. And I figure he can just wear green clothes. The only thing I have no idea about is the head. Can anyone help me out here? I have to idea where to even begin with this. Thank you very much for reading!

Hello Craftsters! I've just completed my first successful hoodie thanks to gnacissej's wonderfully helpful tutorial (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177602.0). I lined it with flannel so it's extremely cozy. I'm so proud of it, I don't think I'll ever take it off. Cheesy

Here it is!

Woo! Thank you for looking, I'd love to hear your comments! Kiss

26  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / First Dress Ever! Navy Babydoll on: November 01, 2007 09:21:02 PM
Hello Craftsters! I just finished my first dress ever and I'm so excited to show it to you guys. =)

Tomorrow night my family is going out to eat for my parents' birthdays, and I had nothing to wear. I've been wanting to make a dress for a long time, and I thought this was the perfect excuse to do so! I love the fabric it's made out of, dark blue and very soft. It took two hours to make. Best part is, it probably cost less than $5 to make!

On to the pictures! Sorry for the not so great webcam shots..

29  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My New Puffy Shirt! on: May 31, 2007 12:14:25 PM
Hello Craftsters!

After many tries and wasted fabric, I finally managed to make a shirt like this that I'll actually wear. I messed up on the sleeves a bit, and the buttons aren't quite even. Ugh. Undecided But I'm happy with it for the most part. And I got this fabric for $1 a yard, woo!

Thanks for looking! Tell me what you think. Wink
30  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / First Wearable Recon EVER! on: May 31, 2007 12:04:34 PM
Hello Craftsters!

This used to be my mom's over-sized turtleneck long sleeve shirt, which I resized, changed the neckline, and shortened the sleeves. I wish I would've taken a before picture.  Embarrassed Oh, well. It was bad, believe me.
It's not perfect at all, and I made a lot of mistakes, but it was my first time with sleeves and I can actually wear this out. So I'm pretty proud of myself. Grin

Thanks for looking! Tell me what you guys think. Grin
