My first post, woo hoo.. BUT.. I would just like to say a BIG Thank You to all of the wonderful ideas I have found here on this thread, it has greatly helped in accomplishing my goal of completely homemade gifts this year.. and they are AMAZING.
Someone posted an idea of etching glass as a gift (GREAT tut by the way).. and I really liked that idea. If someone is unsure of that, try etching little votive candle holders or vases for gifts. I found some really cheap ones (.45 for the candle holds and 2.00 for the vases) at wal-mart. Also, marble magnets are awesome too.
My gift suggestions: Coasters (SO easy to do and there is a tut provided on here) Etched Votive candle holders/vases, pencil holders, glasswares Marble magnets Artist Journal Decoupaged flower pots for someone who likes that kind of thing Ornaments
...sorry I am not much of a help, but I HIGHLY recommend the Coasters and Etched items. The Armor Etch is expensive, but you can do many gifts with a bottle, and the coasters are SO easy and fun that time just flies by. I did 50 marble magnets and 24 coasters in 2 hours. That is the bulk of my Christmas gifts, so if you are short on time and need an idea, these are great. The Coasters are also VERY cheap...
