1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Dog Fur Yarn on: January 02, 2008 08:10:27 AM
I know this topic was brought up before but this weekend I was catching up on my Knitty Gritty and sure enough, Vicki had someone who spun dog fur and knitted. My husband got disgusted just because we know how our dogs smell a bath or walking in the rain. I just remember the last time I went to pick up my Shih-Zu from the groomers. After 15 minutes I could breathe and I'm not asthmatic, just allergic to dogs. I wouldn't be able to wear or knit anything with dog fur yarn.

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Finally Done!!! Airy Wrap-Around Sweater from Fitted Knits on: November 15, 2007 11:29:20 AM
I"m finally done with this. I used Bertan Satin in Sultana Raisin. It's so nice and warm for this time.  I changed the YO on the sleeves for KTB; I think it looks neater.  The wraps took forever. I think if I had more time during the day I would have been finished a month ago. Please excuse the crappy picture. My cellphone is acting funny.

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Look what I made..... on: October 17, 2007 07:46:13 AM
Baby socks!!! I got inspired by Ali's baby sock, also because the socks my son was wearing was leaving the mark of the elastic. This is not Ali's pattern. This is what I used since I hate seaming with a passion. Instead of casting-on with figure 8, I used the magic way instead.  By the way, this was my first time knitting socks.

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / my first cable knitting on: September 28, 2007 06:41:25 AM
I'm not a cable virgin anymore!!!!!!   Grin Grin Grin  It's from the Airy Wrap Around from Fitted Knits. I should be done by next week. It was the most scariest thing in the world until yesterday.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Fitted Knits Pattern Question on: September 12, 2007 09:28:41 AM
Could someone explain this line in the pattern for me?  I feel kinda stupid at this point. It's the Textured Tunic with Side Buttons. I'm trying to finish it but I'm stuck on this point.  Thank you.

Before this part, the sleeves are separated and you start to knit the Box Stitch for 5", which k2,p2 for 2 rounds and p2,k2 for another  2 rounds. Then purl 3 rounds and knit straight until the piece measure 10" from the armpit. Could someone please explain to me in lamen terms what I have to do after this?

"SET-UP RND: [Knit to marked st, purl to marked st] twice. Cont working side slit trim at each marker for 5 more rnds, following chart from rnd 2."
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / my version of the crazy collar sweater on: July 31, 2007 05:40:48 PM
Here's my version of the crazy collar sweater. I had done this sweater a while back and haven't been able to post it cause I kept forgetting. That's what happens when one is pregnant. I used this pattern but I left out the lace and used a stockinette stitch for the body instead. I couldn't concentrate on the Fern Diamonds. I also used Bernat Satin which knit up really lovely.

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Something Red (Green) on: July 31, 2007 04:15:45 PM
I just finished this bad boy this weekend and it's blocking as we speak. The pattern is from Knit and Tonic and I used Frog Tree Pima Cotton. The pattern was easy up until I had to do short rows on the collar. I undid that collar so many times that I just wanted to just give until I asked for help from Knit and Tonic herself. I also changed the increases from YO to KBF. It was much easier for me.

Hope you like it.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Henry's New Sweater on: January 22, 2007 06:56:24 AM
Look what I whipped up for my doggie this weekend. We just had him groomed and I couldn't find his little coat because it was way too cold in NYC. So I took two different color skiens and came up with a raglan top-down sweater for the little bastard without a pattern. I just winged it and it fits him perfectly.

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Yarn Tragedy in NYC---P&S Yarn Closing on: November 29, 2006 11:01:38 AM
Maybe I'm overreacting because I'm pregnant but I just found out that P&S Yarns/Fabrics sold the building and is closing the store for good. I walked over during my lunch hour to pick a bead threader and discovered the gates down and huge signs of closing.  On the lighter note, they are having a huge sale starting tomorrow, Nov. 30.  You may love them or hate them but a sale is a sale.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Another baby raglan sweater but different on: November 13, 2006 07:24:23 AM
I made this for my boss's god-daughter. I know she will love it. I took the idea of the flowers from the Daisy sweater on Knitty.

PS: Sorry for the picture. I'm too lazy to use my digital camera and upload the picture onto to the computer so i used my cell phone.
