Sounds like my recipe for a baby blanket except I locked my index finger in my car door (much swearing involved).  Did tendon  damage so I ended up with a 6 month break and I gave it to another baby (thank goodness for generic colors!).  Thanks for the laugh.

Very nicely done.  I'm sure your aunt will love it.  I think I'll make one for my sister in MSU green (Cascade 220).  I have a boatload left after making hats for her sons and she'll look a little more fashionable on campus.
