21  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Friendly Margarita kitchen towel on: May 24, 2009 12:34:06 PM
I found this awesome pattern from the flickr group, Hand Embroidery Patterns, thanks to davis.jacque, and I made this adorable little Margarita!

22  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / My craft bag.. before and after on: May 16, 2009 10:07:24 AM
This was one of the first things I made, when I learned to embroider. I have been keeping my floss and needles, etc. in it for the past few years.

It's kind of funny how gross this bag is considering that I have made soooo many totes for other people. I decided it was time to treat myself to a new embroidery bag:

I am in love with the variegated floss! See the birdie how he changes colors.

By the way, I got the pattern from the flickr group Hoop Love --The greatest source for vintage patterns, IMO!
23  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Personified Kitchen tools! on: April 21, 2009 06:17:44 PM
I embroidered this for lovesit for the embroidered apron swap. I got the patterns from Hoop Love Vintage transfers group on Flickr.

Whaddya think?
24  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Bulldog mascot piece on: February 24, 2009 03:40:28 PM
I just started teaching at a junior high school, and our mascot is the bulldog. I just wanted a way to decorate my classroom and share my crafts with my students. Our colors are blue and gold. Should I tint him in blue? I'm kinda hesitant because I usually tint BEFORE I stitch. Hm.

I still need to frame him (I hate that part--it's boring and hard.)
25  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Romeo and Juliet tote on: February 24, 2009 03:38:02 PM
I crafted this tote bag for goodtimegirl, my craft partner in the "Crafty Teacher Swap." We both teach high school English.

I included the infamous dagger and poison.

What do you think?
26  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Yoda stuffie on: December 14, 2008 11:20:15 AM
I really enjoyed making this little guy. I got the pattern from: http://www.starwars.com/kids/activity/crafts/f20060214/index.html

He also doubles as our tree topper!

What do y'all think? His face doesn't look the greatest, but that's how the website had it looking.
27  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / NSFW Language! My cactus on: November 28, 2008 07:45:42 AM
I am not really happy with the way the words turned out because they are too close together. Not sure if I will hang it or not. I got the pattern from the "huge patterns thread" on here.. they linked to a site that offered free Sanrio patterns.

28  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / I want to eat my tea towel on: November 18, 2008 07:32:59 PM
So I finally got around to doing something with this pattern from Aunt Martha's "Death by Chocolate" transfer set. I think this is one of my favorite things I've done. The middle cupcake is supposed to look like FunFetti cake mix.

A closeup:

By the way--these are my favorite tea towels to use. I got them from Bed Bath and Beyond (I really don't even like that place, but the towels were 3 for 8ish dollars and they are THE best ones to work with and they're not huge.)
29  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Creepy little elf tote on: November 17, 2008 05:34:01 PM
I also made this for the Quirky Winter Holiday swap for Trisha2010. I used crayon tinting.

30  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Grinch holiday napkin on: November 17, 2008 05:33:04 PM
I made this for Trisha2010 for the Quirky Winter Holiday Swap. I bought the napkins at Wal-Mart.
