Thanks Pureeva, I used your technique on my latest creature & it works great. Grin

Thanks, he was fun to make too. I've become a bit of a fan of the puppet-mouth so will prolly be using that technique lots more now I know how to do it.
23  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Tubby amigurumi monster on: September 06, 2006 09:18:55 PM
My friend Mardi put in a request for an ami for a friend's new bub, the outline she gave me was "make a monster" so I came up with this tubby fella. Many thanks to Pureeva for the directions for making the puppet style mouth & the popcorn stitch thumbs.

24  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Beginner losing stitches somewhere on: August 29, 2006 11:58:54 PM
You might not be making a chain stitch between rows. It confused the bejeezus out of me when I started.

Say you want a 10 stitch swatch, chain 11 stitches, sc into 2nd ch from hook, sc across. After your last stitch & before turning, ch 1, turn, sc into last worked stitch then sc across.

25  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Octopus + Rooster = ?? on: August 24, 2006 09:57:46 PM
I saw it & thought "Blocktopooster". Really great original design, well done.
26  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Tetsuo Teddy Bear on: August 09, 2006 12:51:33 AM
My comment from yesterday seems to have disappeared, odd. Anywho, fantastic job. I was expecting 'Tetsuo: Ironman' but this is even better. Great to see more disturbing ami's from you.
27  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Smokers Ages 18+ Swap on: August 08, 2006 09:53:59 PM

Here's pics of the wondeful parcel morbid_lady sent me.

And with the pouch open & in use

I forgot to mention the Smokin CD she compiled which has some great smoke-themed tunes like Smokin in the Boys Room (go the Crue) & a parody of the Canadian National Anthem. Also the badge says "Cancer cures Smoking" not the other way round like I thought.

Thanks again morbid_lady. Now I can smoke in crafty-style.

"In space no one can hear you squeak".

Great job, but that's no surprise, you talented person you. Grin
30  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Patterns for Character Knits on: August 01, 2006 10:01:26 PM
That is great!  Gordon Schumway has never looked better!

LMAO, good to see I'm not the only person here who retains useless information.
