1  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Free Halloween Kitty Pattern on: October 01, 2010 11:01:24 AM
Although you've probably seen it already, I thought I'd post my Halloween Kitty Pattern here too for you.

You can download the pattern from my free patterns page on my blog: http://artisania.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/halloween-kitty.pdf

Several people have already made her up and  you can read about it and see their work here: http://artisania.wordpress.com/2009/10/29/in-the-moonlight-glowing-jack-o-lanterns-sit/

If you make a Halloween Kitty, please post it here!

3  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Free Halloween Jack-o-lantern Pattern on: September 23, 2010 11:34:46 PM
Just thought I'd share my favorite free Halloween Pattern with you.

You can find him on the free patterns page on my blog: http://artisania.files.wordpress.com/2008/10/jack-o-lantern2.pdf

I designed him 2 years ago and he's been popping up around every Halloween. It's so much fun!

Anyway, I figured I should give him to you now, while there's still lots of time for Halloween sewing.

Enjoy and please post any Jack-o-lanterns you make here  Grin

4  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Free Witch Pattern on: September 22, 2010 09:19:47 AM
Thanks for your nice comments! I'm glad you like, and I hope you make!

Shocked Eek!! How Awesome! This maybe a little too skilled for my poor quilting abilities, but it's sooo cute its worth a shot! Thanks!

Oh you should give it a go! I have some easier free patterns on my blog, and a whole page of video tutorials on how to paper piece. http://artisania.wordpress.com/

The hard part is actually just wrapping your mind around the process. Once you have that figured out, it's pretty much easy to do.  Grin

Since Halloween is right around the corner, I thought I'd share a free Witch Pattern with you!

You can find the pattern on my blog: http://artisania.files.wordpress.com/2008/10/witch1.pdf

I designed this a few years ago, and since then one lady has done some neat revisions of the pattern:

To allow for custom stocking and shoe colors:

And a more simplified version:

I've blogged about these patterns and the projects that have been made with them in these two posts:

And if you make one, please post it here! I'd love to see your stuff Smiley
6  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Free Lil' Hedgehog Pattern on: September 20, 2010 08:05:42 PM
This is a little paperpieced pattern I designed a few months ago. I made the first one for a swap I was in.

It's a free pattern I offer on my blog: http://artisania.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/lil-hedgehog.pdf

I also just finally blogged about it and showcased some of the projects that have featured the little guy.

If anyone gives it a go, please please post your pictures here!

7  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Peeping Horse Pattern on: September 17, 2010 04:46:47 PM
Hey everyone,

Just want to show you my latest design. The Peeping Horse. Oh man I love him so much!

I did him up in plaid, just 'cause I could hehe!

I think he's saying "Hey, what'cha got there? Is that a carrot?"

You know, paper piecing really isn't that hard once you understand the technique. I actually made some video tutorials a while back explaining and showing the whole process. Here's a link: http://artisania.wordpress.com/tutorials/

I also have a bunch of free and easy patterns for beginners to try: http://artisania.wordpress.com/free-patterns/

Give it a try! It's so much fun once you get the hang of it!
