4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Best glue for bonding plastic to metal clips/barettes? on: October 07, 2007 04:08:50 PM
I searched, and didn't find a thread about this, hopefully this isn't redundant!  I tried affixing vintage buttons to Goody clips with superglue, let it dry overnight, and the buttons fell off when I sprang the clip.   Undecided  I'm guessing a glue gun wouldn't be strong enough and that I need something more pliable....  What would be best?

Yeah, I saw this in BUST, too, but I can't remember what exact epoxy they suggested (I was browsing at the store, and didn't buy the magazine).  Can anyone tell me?

I'll definitely be there, with or without my best friend!
Does "DIY haircuts" sound vaguely frightening to anyone else? Smiley
my friend and i went to the first one two years ago, and she got a diy haircut--it took about 10 minutes and looked really cool (if messy rock hair is your thing Wink).  since i diy my own hair (and hers now, incidentally) i can't say it excites me all that much. . .  but i'm definitely going to be there.
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Recommendations for Dying Old Jeans Darker? on: October 19, 2006 09:38:08 PM
thanks for the help.  in this case i think i'd be okay with an overdyed look.  i'm a big fan of dark washes, so i prolly try the rit!
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Recommendations for Dying Old Jeans Darker? on: October 10, 2006 09:33:00 AM
So I have several pairs of old jeans that I don't wear because they don't fit well and I don't like the wash.  I am contemplating revamping them into other articles of clothing (which would solve the problem of them not fitting well), but I want I nice dark wash.  Does anyone have experience dying jeans dark?  What dye did you use/were the results pleasing?  Quips, qualms, etc. Wink  Thanks!
