21  Flour Sack towel into Apron in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Stifflersmom on: July 29, 2010 10:38:12 AM
This apron is a folded flour sack towel with rick rack, matching pockets & apron strings. It went together very quickly and was a fun way to use up some quilting scraps.

22  Purple Polka Dot tablecloth reworked into Apron in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Stifflersmom on: July 29, 2010 10:33:09 AM
I visited a fantastic quilt shop in Siren Wisconsin, and all the staff were wearing these fabulous aprons.
Had to try my hand at making one. I used the Lilly pattern from Busy Bee as a starting point, but ended up making modifications so that I could use this vintage tablecloth. It had a small tear, so it really needed to be repurposed.

Excuse the droopy bust - Madge the dress form is not as busty as I am.  Cheesy

26  Moda's Nest fabric in a stacked coin pattern in Quilting: Completed Projects by Stifflersmom on: March 23, 2010 10:00:51 AM
This is technically still a WIP, but it will be quilted over Mother's Day weekend whilst I am on retreat with my cocktail gals. Cheesy

I found a pattern I liked, adjusted it a bit and quadrupled the size. It's bigger than the pool table it's displayed on in the pic. I don't have the exact measurements but it's longer than a king size sheet, and slightly narrower.

The best part is the fabric was all on 50% off clearance. Whoooooopie!!

From the second round, a gorgeous mini Frida shrine from the very talented Aroze

It's a perfect mini version of one she made me a few years ago:

From the first round, a perfectly bitchy group of dames from Rackycoo:

From the second round, a shrine to strong men by Racky, because, of course, we need to celebrate those that put up with us:

The framed up group of ATCs from this swap:

I would love to do another round of this swap! It's been so much fun.
Thanks to my fabulous partners Aroze & Rackycoo!!!!!

These are red, but green, too! They are made from upcycled slide frames, playing cards, old catalog images and ticket stubs.

30  Beginner finally finishes some projects in Quilting: Completed Projects by Stifflersmom on: February 09, 2010 12:48:17 PM
I started this quilt for my husband two years ago, and last weekend I attended a quilting retreat and was finally able to get it finished with some help.

Was feeling pretty good about it, so I started & finished two more smaller items.
Small table topper:

A table runner that somehow kept getting longer and longer, too long to get a picture of the whole thing. Cheesy
The color is more green than this picture.
