If your cables are too tight it is a problem with your tension try going up needle sizes on a tension square until you get the results you want

you can also use bi carb soda. I'm a serial burner and I use the ramp up and down method. put it on a disposable tray cover in foil and place in a cold oven. put in for about 20 mins on the dial and let it to cool all the way down in the oven before you remove it. super sculpey doesn't burn for me this way. if you get it out and its not quite done you can put it back in and repeat for 10mins. you only get about 5 mins warming up temps then 15 of full and about another 10 or 20 or until you remember it mins of cool down temps. I've never tried batting but I'm pretty sure the stuff here would just melt. or catch on fire.
he's pretty cute! you have done well. can't wait to see him complete.
3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Dragon Charm on: January 30, 2016 01:20:14 PM
It isn't a glass marble it's a polymer ball so I simply wrapped it around and used some bake and bond to stick it on. He's cute but a lot of work. Thanks for looking!

So I made this pendant/large charm of a dragon wrapped around a faux marble ball. He's going to live with a friend who can make him amazing. Thanks for looking!

Thank you so much! It's my first time and I'm pretty excited. I'm glad everyone liked it. My little 12 year old friend adores it.

So my little 12 year old friend has recently discovered Dr Who and has fallen hard for it, in particular for Matt Smith's Doctor. She made herself a card board tardis and I made her this charm bracelet. The charms can be worn or taken off and displayed around her tardis.

Here we have River, Donna, Martha, Amelia.

Here are Rose, an Ood, 10 and 11

Weeping Angel, whole bracelet.

I also made her a bow tie. Because bow ties are cool.

thanks for looking!
7  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / gloss on: February 16, 2015 12:49:58 AM
Hi does anyone have any ideas, I put sculpy brand gloss on my terrarium decorations and they went milky. I tried coating them in clear nail polish and furniture polish and the water is still affecting them. Any ideas?

could be an aussie one, ours are often separate too. It's handy in a one bathroom house, you don't have to wait for someone to come out of the shower,

So I made this little Mossarium:

I made the decorations.

The hardest part was finding moss since it is the height of summer, and very dry, and illegal to take it from the bush. I went to buy some from the garden centre and it can't be bought. But they were nice enough to give me some from the fence where the sprinklers are.
