Felting: Completed Projects
Wet felted corsages
on: November 15, 2007 12:46:32 AM
I'm selling at a local craft fair on Saturday, and have just finished felting these.
They just need to thoroughly dry out and I can sew the pins on the back.

Natural Dyeing Day
on: August 22, 2007 10:04:11 AM
My spinning group had a dyeing day on Monday and here are my mini skeins:
From memory, we used logwood, oregano, annatto, huckleberries, mugure, brazilwood, fustic, griselinia, goldenrod and walnut.
I wasn't involved in the prep of the dye baths, so I can only guess that they added alum as the fixing agent to most of them.
Dyeing: Discussion and Questions
Kool-Aid UK stockists
on: August 22, 2007 09:20:47 AM
I'm not sure if this has been posted about before, but for us UK crafters there are a couple of stockists of Kool-Aid via mail order in the UK if you'd like to have a go.
I've ordered from them in the past. They now have a page about dyeing wool on there.
I've bought from them at Wonderwool Wales.
