1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My First Knitted Scarf on: February 20, 2006 09:53:06 AM
This is my very first knitting project from last year. I made this scarf during a class at Michael's and wound up giving it as a Christmas gift since I already have 3 scarves (1 I bought, 2 I crocheted myself). My cousin (who got it for Christmas) loves it and I miss it! hehe

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Kim's Packies! Crocheted beaded hand bags on: February 20, 2006 09:47:19 AM
I made these multi-colored little purses (I call them packies) as a project when I was bored one day. I gave them as gifts and then other people were interested. The pink one has a full liner on the inside, and is handbeaded. The beading took about 3 hours to finish. Both bags are crocheted and belong to happy pappy people!

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Homestar Runner and StrongBad Pillows! on: February 20, 2006 09:39:01 AM
My brother loves Homestar Runner, so I made him these pillows for Christmas. He absolutely loves them! The Strongbad one turned out kind of crooked, but the Homestar pillow turned out great. I fringed it and knotted them all the way around, and then sewed along the start of the fringe to make sure the stuffing stayed in. Tell me what you think!

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Reconstructed Ghostbusters T-Shirt on: January 29, 2006 07:28:20 PM
Here are a couple pics of my reconstructed-old school Ghostbusters T-Shirt! I don't have a before picture...I didn't think about that until I had begun to cut into the t-shirt. Tell me what you think!

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Where to find Beads sold in Bulk? on: January 12, 2006 09:16:14 AM
Beads are expensive sold by the small little packs at Wal-Mart, JoAnn's, Michael's, etc. Can anyone give me the names/websites of some companies that sell beads in bulk? I did find a bag of beads at JoAnn's that was fairly priced and I did receive a good amt. of beads for the money. I want to start a small biz and I need some direction with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
6  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / How do you use interfacing? on: December 14, 2005 02:59:52 PM
I'm making a purse from a pattern for the first time and the pattern requires interfacing.  The directions are really ambiguous.  I just don't understand the whole process of putting interface into a piece. Would somebody please walk me through the steps and/or give me a good website that could help me?

Thanks! - Kim  Huh
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Where/How can I make tags? on: August 04, 2005 02:28:44 PM
Does anybody know how or where to get specially made tags for craft projects (totes, clothing, etc.)?
I would appreciate any help and ideas!
