41  From map to coasters! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by tamar on: September 03, 2005 02:01:10 PM
I've made some coasters out of an old city map of Amsterdam:

You need: map, scissors, ruler, pencil, wallpaper samples, laminator and laminator sheets.

Step 1: Cut 10x10cm squares out of the map.
Step 2: Cut 10x10cm squares out of the wallpaper samples and glue/tape with double-sided tape to the back of the map-squares

Step 3: Put the squares in the laminate sheets. Leave a little space at the sides
Step 4: Let's laminate!

Step 5: Cut out the squares, cut the edges round (you can laminate them again now, to get them to stick together better)

Step 6: Decorate a little box with the map leftovers
Step 7: Put the coasters in and you're done!

Or, as we say over here: Klaar is Kees!
