1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Can I make this on a knifty knitter loom? on: October 28, 2006 05:30:49 PM
I found this pattern for a really pretty scarf: http://yummyyarn.indus3ous.com/patterns/MJG_Liesel.pdf. I really want to make it but I can't knit! Sad Would it be possible to make it on one of these knifty knitter looms: http://www.provocraft.com/products/catalog.php?cl=knifty%20knitter&scl=looms?

My mom knows how to knit but isn't really advanced. I just thought I would ask here if it's possible before I asked her to help me figure it out.

oooh that's awesome! Thank's for posting that! I ended up finding antiqued brass chain that I really like but now I'm having a horrible time finding clasps and stuff to match. I may have to do that to them.

Just wondering if anyone knows how to make brass chain look antiqued? I have a million antique brass charms but can't find antique brass chain to go with them anywhere! Is it possible to antique regular brass chain? Or does anyone know where I can buy antique brass chain?

You probably could. I would just be afraid of them getting knocked off and lost. Maybe you could use a butterfly or something and poke a hole in the wings? That would probably be a little more secure that hanging them on an antler.

I love making necklaces like that! You used waxed cotton cord? I love that stuff! You used pretty colors!

I found a tutorial a couple days ago and made this:

Nothing too exciting but it was fun  Smiley I used waxed cotton cord (which I really liked working with because it held the knots great!) and some wood beads that I found at Michaels.

That's my boyfriend modeling it btw. I swear I'm not that hairy  Tongue
