The weather has gotten much colder at nights, so last night while I was watching "Jaws", I made myself a pair of Maryjane slippers to keep my feet warm. 20 minutes....that's all it took.
worsted weight yarn ( 2 strand held together)
ch 2. 6 hdc in first ch. join
ch 2. 2 hdc in each stitch around. join.
ch 2. 1 hdc in next st. 2 hdc in next st. repeat around. join.
ch 2. 1 hdc in each st around. Join. Do this till toe area is the length you want.
ch 2. hdc in next 14 sts. turn and continue this till foot area is length you want. You want the slipper to fit snug, so when you get to the heel, put right sides together and slip stitch shut.
Do a row of sc across the top of the slipper to finish the edge. You can add a strap by starting on one side and making it 2 sc wide then slip stitching it to the opposite side.
Ta Da! fast and easy maryjanes in 20 minutes.
