ummm okay, so I'm having a problem with dandruff. I wash about once a week. sometimes like every week and a half. anyways yeah so i have a little of a dandruff issue. I've been thinking that just about everybody with dreads has dandruff because the locks hold down the dead skin cells trying to escape from your scalp. but i don't know. if anyone has any tips on taking care of dandruff (without messing up my locks), it would be much appreciated.
Mix up some apple cider vinegar with water and pour it over your head in the shower, it works like a charm for me. If it isn't working use less water.
lol I went to classes this morning and you should've seen the looks
Man if I had a nickel.
Welcome to my life
Any other ideas on how I can get them to lock up quicker?
The only thing that will actually make them lock up is time. Time, time, and more time.
But if you aren't worried about them getting tighter and knotting up, and just need them to look more presentable you could palm roll with aloe, that will make them look round and tidy for when you need it. Crochet hook also works to pull in loose hairs but it looks really weird, like, you can tell when someone has been crocheting i think.
