My cat likes to eat purses.  Luckilly he's only gotten to my cheap ones, but I have a really nice coach bag that I saved up for and I accidently left it within kitty reach last night and came home to a mangled strap.  I cried for about half an hour and then calmed down.  I thought I would be able to order a replacement strap from coach but they said not for my specific bag.  Does anyone have an idea of how I could fix this?

i have been wanting one of these hats for ages, have seen it on celebs like Kiera Knightley and Gwen Stefani but could never find a picture.  I finally found one that Gwen makes for L.A.M.B. here goes

I am a knitter just new to crocheting, but I really want to make this hat!  To me it just looks like a tube, but I have no idea how to do that with crocheting.  For example, with knitting you would start at the widest part of the hat and move to the top, but I think with crocheting you would start from the top and work down.  Any tips?

For everyone who loves to knit AND loves animals, i recently stumbled across this organization


you can make knitted (or crocheted or sewn) blankets that are given to animals in shelters, so they have somewhere warm and soft to sit/sleep on in their cages.  the website has a list of shelters that accept blankets and gives directions about what size they need and how to donate.

I am really liking the new seventies looking vesty type things that are getting popular.  I am a pretty accomplished knitter, but I am not comfortable making up my own patterns, so can anyone help me find a pattern for something like these?

My older brother is turning 22 pretty soon and I have no clue what to get him for his birthday.  I am seriously short on funds so I want to make him something, but I have noooo idea!  He's gay, really into music (classical if that makes a difference) and he is an anthropology major.  I know that probably doesn't help, but if any of you have any ideas, please let me know!!

I already have a tiny food processor for chopping nuts and stuff like that, but I want to buy a big one (will hold at least 5 cups) that is pretty powerful.  Any suggestions on brands or tips on buying one?  I want to find one for under $50 if possible.

I recently got the How it All Vegan cookbook and I absolutely love it!  I've made several things from it already and everything has been delicious.  I even made tofu jerky and believe it or not it is soooo good and tastes like real jerky.  I ordered Garden of Vegan, the second How it all vegan book so hopefully that one is just as good.  Anyone have any other good cookbook recomendations?
