I recently finished up the Lady Eleanor Stole from the book Scarf Style -- a fabulous book, in and of itself. I bought the book for two specific patterns and I won't be surprised if I end up knitting every other pattern in the book!
I used nine balls of Noro Kureyon in colorway #124 (my favorite!). I had no problems with the pattern, but I did change the cast-on number to 42 instead of 56. I'm a petite lady and the stole would have overwhelmed me otherwise.
This project is great, even for novice knitters who haven't tried entrelac before. Doing entrelac for the first time is akin to turning your first heel on a sock -- it will look wonky and distorted as you're starting out, but trust in the directions and all will turn out fine. I taught myself to knit backwards for this project so I wouldn't have to be constantly turning the work around, but that skill isn't necessary to make this stole.
I'm pretty sad that the weather has been so lovely lately -- I don't have as many opportunities to wear the Lady!
