11  Fuzzy bear panta in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by jenefor on: November 02, 2006 10:23:44 PM
OK so I'm not sure if this is the right place but really wasn't sure where to post.

Anyhow I wanted to make a cute little hat like thing but I don't like to wear full hats that much. I love the pantas but wanted something fun so I got some fur andmade a little fuzzy bear panta for me Smiley. It was fast and easy to make (just made it on the fly) In this pict I have it tied behind my pigtails but if I tie it under my chin it actually becomes earwarmers as well (wasn't planning on that but I was happy)

My son received the swap package from stellato_escuro  today and LOVED it!
She had sent so much it was really sweet of her.
First off she had made him a cape with the cutest Star Wars fabric (it is now the "Darth Vader" cape since he has the helmet but didn't have a cape)

Here is a group shot of all the other goodies that we got.

I got a bag of wild rice that I cant wait to make now that there is a chill in the air.

Harry Potter valentine's cards (2 of them were "fortune tellers" they are quite a hit)

Pooh and friends stickers

A canister of candy that had some cool dice hiding in the bottom (didn't get them in the pict Sad )

A fruit snack (our fave kind too)

A glittery pencil that is already MIA (I am sure it was hidden from me since I am always using his pencils)

A little sleeping bag for whoever goes on an adventure with him (matches his cape....god I just love the fabric)

An adventure book you know where you pick what happens next....I forgot all about these kind till now.....as we speak he is begging me to read it to him Smiley

A berry finding guide which is super neat and we will defiantly use....he loves to pick berries so now we will know what we can and cant eat.

And last but not least 2 postcards to her showing....and I must say I love the "tree of life" necklace Smiley

Thanks again for everything he just loves it all!

Kairichan has received her package and asked for me to post a pict.
Here is what I had made her:

It was inspired from something off her WIST list that she had liked.
The pearls are baby pink but the picture doesn't show that too well.

14  Name bracelet in Beads: Completed Projects by jenefor on: September 29, 2006 11:17:16 PM
Well I decided to take a break from fiber arts for a while and decided to go for some beading. I had a bracelet that I made myself when my son Vincent was born and wore 24/7 till it broke. Anyhow I was cleaning out and found that I still had the beads tucked away and went to work. Of course I had to go hunt for new beads since I wanted the look a little nice this time.
I got my inspiration from this site:
And this is the bracelet that I was using for inspiration...

But seeing as I couldn't and wouldn't pay over $200 for a bracelet I went to work trying to recreate it.
I found a new bead shop in the process so that is always nice. The old place that I went to was like a closet, you couldn't see anything without asking and it was the size of my bedroom. The new place has a coloring table for the kids (big bonus) and everything is out so you can see it.

And here is the final version of what I made, at a mere fraction of the price (about $30).

I think I might try another with bigger name blocks if I can find them but for now i'm happy how it turned out.

Anyhow this is what I got from Zenochka.

I got 3 things of yarn for my scarf in progress Smiley (But I think I'm going to use the Christmas one for a holiday sweater for my pup.)
Thanks a bunch!

16  Ghoul scout sash in Halloween Costumes by jenefor on: September 18, 2006 03:13:52 PM
Hi there I know there has been talk on here how several people are thinking of being "Ghoul Scouts" so I thought I would post my sash from a few years back...maybe give some ideas.

Here is the whole thing

Then close ups of what the patches say

The #'s and stars are just from Joann's fabric and then the patches I just made by drawing on stiff interfacing with perminate markers. and then just ironed them on. At the time that was the best and easiest way for me.

17  My kittyville...YEA! in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by jenefor on: September 04, 2006 10:19:23 PM
OK so I know there are tons of this hat on here but it was sooo darn cute so I had to give it a try too. I did leave off the ear flaps and added some pink on the ears. This is my first pattern that i have done so all in all I think it turned out well. I really like it and next time I think I will alter it some (it seems a bit tall for my head) and make wider ears (maybe 16 stitches) Maybe I just did it wrong...who knows.
Anyhow I'm just really excited that I actually made something other than a scarf Smiley Now on to the next project...that I have some confidence.

18  Re: Harry Potter for our Kids Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by jenefor on: August 28, 2006 03:59:51 PM
YEA! We came home from the park today to see that we had some Owl mail waiting for us!

Vincent was for sure that it was Ron's owl that brought it for us....He couldn't wait to get in and open it.
Here is a group shot.

We got a pillow with a "special" pocket on it, a wand that was just the cats meow, and a little snitch and sorting hat (you can tell from the pict but the sorting hat has a little face and he has been "sorting" everything in the house.
Here is Vincent showing off all the stuff.

And after a hard days work he is "pretending" to sleep for the camera. (Can you tell I have a ham on my hands?)

Thanks for everything kahluakiggy...it is all much loved.

20  Re: Little Vistor Swap Round 4 Gallery!! in The Swap Gallery by jenefor on: August 25, 2006 03:06:18 PM
Well Pippa made it home today Smiley Amazing since I just checked the tracking today and it still shows that the box in in LA still...hmmmm.
Anyhow everything is great! She reported that she had lots of fun so that was good.
Here is a pict of everything...

Here are some from the scrap book...some of the cutest I think Smiley

Here are some postcards that we got...isn't the tree amazing?

This is one of the Voodoo doll that we got and the Cajun weather station that we got Funny too since me and my hubby think that everyone just needs one of these things (out here we have the Indian weather rock) rather then having to endure TV weather people who are wrong all the time.

And then here is one of Pippa and he new Dread tam/wrap/hat. and her "No War" pin. Also there was a cute crochet flower (I think I am going to use that with a pin or that Smiley ) and then some fruit snacks. I wonder how many she ate in the box home?

Oh I almost forgot a local paper was also sent along....can't wait to sit down and read all that is going on in LA.
Thanks for the swap....we had fun!
