1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help! I lost my magazine! on: April 05, 2008 05:37:48 PM
Hi Everyone, I was hoping someone could do me a huge favor.  I just ordered knitscene Fall 2007 http://www.knitscene.com/2007/fall07projects.asp, got it in the mail, bought all the yarn for Breton Girl and promptly lost my magazine!  I desperately want to start on my sweater, so I was hoping that someone could scan the first page of the pattern for Breton Girl for me?  I understand that some people might not feel ok about this, and that's totally fine, but if someone was ok with it, I would appreciate it.

I ordered the book. I'ma start on the Santa and Mrs Claus ones ASAP. I hope to have like 4-5 sets of em done.

Wow! that's ambitious.  They're really easy and quick but I think i'd get sick of making them after like 2 sets Smiley

thank you everyone!!  I ordered the pamphlet from here http://www.frugalhaus.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=128.  It's got a bunch of really cute patterns, I've already made Santa and a snowman (can't post it yet because I'm afraid the person it's attended for will see it before Christmas).
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Here comes Santa Claus!! Edited to include bonus snowman! on: December 21, 2007 08:40:26 AM
Isnt he great?  I made him from the Jean Greenhowe Christmas pamphlet as seen here http://jeangreenhowe.com/booklets.html out of acrylic.

And here is the snowman I made from the same pamphlet!

PS. I used Lion's brand Vanna's choice (the only white yarn endorsed by Vanna White Smiley) and Woolease

Thank you!
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / What camera do you use? on: December 11, 2007 10:19:32 AM
My camera just died, and I'm having a really hard time choosing a new one.  So I thought, well, what do I do with my camera?  Take pictures of my crafts of course!  So I'm asking you fine folks who use your cameras for the same thing for help. I have a few questions

1.  what kind of camera do you have
2. How much do you think you have to spend for an ok camera (nothing super fancy, just takes pictures and doesn't stop working Smiley)
3.  What are the most important features for a craftster to look for?

If this isn't crafty enough, or if it's already been answered, in the wrong place, just let me know!

7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: pretty paper flowers on: October 28, 2007 10:06:53 PM
Thank you very much midnyte and everyone else!  I'll have to try that rosebud, it looks way less intimidating
8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / pretty paper flowers on: October 14, 2007 07:16:04 PM
Since the kawasaki rose is way way too hard for me (I think i might be a little slow when it comes to paper folding) I decided to make 3d flowers for my vases another way.  By glueing two together.

I used http://www.oriland.com/studio/diagram.asp?ID=Jasmine to make each flower, then i glued two together and popped them on a stick, and voila instant decoration!

now if I could just figure out that stupid rose!

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Pretty pretty print of the wave on: October 13, 2007 07:38:35 AM
My office is really cold, so I thought i'd make a nice thick wrap to keep myself toasty.

I love this lace pattern, it's so pretty.  Especially in the Andean Alpaca regal I used, it's so nice and springy for the upcoming long winter.

I think I'm in love with it...
