Anyone else remember doing this finger weaving/knitting as a kid with yarn? I tried my hand at doing it with a cut up t-shirt. Success! I'm ready for some summertime casual now! Too bad there's still snow on the ground in Iowa.
I'm working on a gallery wall for my dining room to highlight the city we live in. We both grew up and met in Iowa, so I wanted to show where we were from and where we met in one of my pieces. This canvas art was pretty simple and only took about an hour after I had my stencils done.
It's only recently that my 4-year old son has liked to do arts and crafts with me. He seems to really like to paint lately though, so I took advantage of that to make this cute hand-print Easter bunny canvas. He was so proud to write Happy Easter on it.
I've been working on a monogram gallery for my mantle, some with purchased letters I've found interesting and then I've also made a few. I completed a new one a few weeks ago and it was super simple and fast. All you need is a frame, paper or fabric, a wood letter from the craft store, craft glue and a glue gun. I didn't paint my letter but you could.
I've finally finished this project after it being on my to-do list for at least 6 years! It really didn't take me that long after I got down to business. The most time consuming part was tracking down all the family birth dates for a few generations back. A few frames, cardstock and voila!
I'm still trying to use up some of the bead stash I accumulated over the holidays when I was making several gifts. This tube bead wrap bracelet was super quick and I think it turned out pretty cute. Perfect for layering with other bracelets!
I think I might have a slight bead addiction after doing several of these wrap bracelets for Christmas gifts. I just kept buying more beads. Now I need to scour the community for some more ideas to use them up. I've told myself no more beads until I use up a good portion of my stash! I still need to make myself one, just not sure which color yet.
