While cutting the ears off of a MH doll (he's getting new ones from Plastic Curves) I stabbed myself in the finger with my new, very sharp Xacto blade. It didn't go very deep but there's a black spot where it bruised.

Way off topic but scarred hands are pretty, to me.
Back to topic!
Scarred hands didn't stop him from continuing to produce beautiful needlework and teaching it to others!

I'm with roler! Just the description of the ingredients make those breakfast bars appealing :d

Prompt: October Mob- Trick
Team: Fandom
Project Name: Little Groot

I have no idea what I did to make the image so small Huh Maybe it's the way I saved it...
Anyway, the "trick" is making the arms so that they can be moved/posed without wire armature Smiley I think it's a pretty neat trick, considering I had tried something like this before and it didn't work out.

I only started frequenting the toy aisle when the Monster High dolls started coming out. I bought a Liv doll for my sister a few years ago because she wanted to use it as a drawing reference.
You're in luck, Smeddley! There are a couple different blonde wigs and at least one strawberry blonde one. I remember from looking at the extra wigs and stuff in the store back when. Also, I think my sister's came with strawberry hair. I'm not too sure though Tongue
Their lovely eyes are acrylic, much like the Japanese ball-jointed dolls have. But unlike the Japanese BJDs the eyes aren't removable/changeable.

That petit point is beautiful, Ludi! Shocked

I'm behind on posting up the monsters for the 30 Day Monster Challenge because my internet is being weird. Tongue
But I just HAD to share this one because it looks really nice Cheesy

The theme was "Myth of Your Heritage" and my heritage is quite a motley mix so I had a wide variety of myths and monsters to choose from. I chose draugr.
Draugar (singular is draugr or draug) are like ghosts except that they have physical bodies, which makes them more akin to zombies. However, draugar often have superhuman strength and generally retain some semblance of intelligence, unlike zombies who are typically depicted as weak, unless there is a horde, and relatively stupid.
For more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draugr and http://www.vikinganswerlady.com/ghosts.shtml

See how much nicer my art looks when I have references? The pose was referenced from a stock photo by Marcus Ranum (http://www.ranum.com), particularly this one. The clothing/armor comes from various images of "Viking" armor.

Great find, Smeddley! Those are Liv dolls (or at least they look like Livs) so if you need/want different hair colors for the dolls, you can sometimes find them on eBay. Their hair is simply a snap in wig, like the Create-A-Monster dolls from Monster High.

LovelyMiss, there's another woman who does this annual community garage sale who ALWAYS has overpriced craft supplies. My aunt once asked her why her stuff was so high, nearly double what you pay in the stores, and she said "You're paying for the convenience." Roll Eyes
I really hope I can score some awesome craft stuff. I especially keep an eye out for embroidery threads Smiley
