It was fun! The dolls were finished enough that everyone present who are Magic players knew they were Chandra and Garruk. They were super excited over them. One friend even tried to sneak Garruk away! lol

Thanks, I need it.
Here's an updated photo:

For the wedding, I'll just be adding the horns to his helmet and adding her goggles. There are lots more details to both of them but those will have to wait til later because I have to finish my bouquet, which probably won't be as magnificent as I wanted.

I've put in at least 8 more hours and still am not finished with them! My wedding is Saturday at 11AM. Wish me luck and pray for my sanity because the little fiddly bits that make up their details are driving me crazy. And I have to make boots to go over Garruk's boots: I just now realized that I used green for his boots instead of brown as they should be.

Definitely should count as a Research Project, or come really, really close:
This is 12 hours in. Chandra's (left) hair was awful to style! It wouldn't stay so I used hairspray on it. And trying to make Garruk taller yet proportionate (not too skinny, not too chubby and Chandra's head around his shoulder height) was a PITA!
If I swore to never do something like this again I'd probably be lying because I like a challenge. But I won't try to do something like this on a time crunch again.
Now I've got to make the little detail pieces for them.

It's December 17th. I'm still working on my bouquet, too.

ETA: they may end up as a Research Project anyway: I've already spent 4 hours on Chandra's head, most of it working on her hair, unraveling the strands so I can cut and style/shape it. And her head is all I have so far.

Okay I've decided to cancel the newest research project. I'm going to try to make them about the size of a Pop! Vinyl. If I make them as big as I initially wanted, I probably won't have the time to finish up my bouquet and make my veil!
I may make big ones another time but as of now, they're going to be more like a Big Time project.

I'm nearly finished with my bouquet. It looks pretty cool so far Cheesy
I'm popping in because my fiance suggested a research project that is also related to our wedding.

Research Project Name: Chandra and Garruk amigurumis
Team: Fandom
Brief Description: The theme for my wedding is Magic: The Gathering. I was going to order Funko Pop! Vinyls of Chandra Nalaar (because she's a redhead) and Garruk, Wildspeaker (because he's tall and my fiance's favorite planeswalker) but I'm worried they wouldn't arrive in time. So my fiance suggested I find tons of pictures of both Pop! figures and use them as a reference to make table decorations. So I'm going to find pics of the figures (won't be hard, thank goodness!) then I'm going to sit down to try to recreate them in yarn.

My initial reaction to this was to laugh and say "Grinch butt." I love it!
Now I kinda want to make a gigantic Grinch. I love Mr. Grinch <3

That "poem for mornings" sounds like something for my dad. I may have to make something with that for him.
