(This is fun for crazy chicken ladies...http://kippenjungle.nl/kruising.html)
trigger point, hand, head, or foot reflexology chart
anything on my Pinterest

Do you want something crafted to fit an existing cabinet? I have a spice rack. The standard jars fit on it. The shelf is 1 1/2 in deep. 3 1/2 in high. Currently features Hello Kitty, Minions, Pez, inspiring women, and misc things from swaps.

What kind of items would you like to receive? hoopla, wall art (feel free to send unframed, the post office will break glass), small things, useful things, altered books and paper goods, etc.

What kind of crafty skills do you have? Sewing, felting/fiber, fine art, light woodwork, needlework, everything except knit and crochet.
Are there any specific crafty skills you especially admire? Anything made with love.
Anything you don't want to receive? Large shelf art.
Are there any materials your partner shouldn't use? I prefer ethically sourced materials but if you've got stuff in your stash it is fine.

Do you have any allergies? Jewelry metals (regifted to mom), foods (we eat organic), latex and strong smelling plastics. The weather is cold so don't worry about things melting in shipping. The post office plays football with packages so be sure to wrap, pad, and secure breakables.

Are there any allergens in your home? All the pets, seasonal woodland burns.
Are you able to post pictures in the gallery? yes
Do you have an Etsy favorites or pinterest?

DETAILS OF SWAP

Swap Description:

A Cabinet of Curiosities is described by Wikipedia as:
"... encyclopedic collections of objects whose categorical boundaries were, in Renaissance Europe, yet to be defined. Modern terminology would categorize the objects included as belonging to natural history (sometimes faked), geology, ethnography, archaeology, religious or historical relics, works of art (including cabinet paintings), and antiquities."
Read more on that entry here.

This swap is for two items. One medium and one small. You DO NOT need to have an actual cabinet to participate in this swap, and we are NOT swapping for an entire cabinet. This is for the the little interesting bits that one might find inside. Your interests don't need to be bizarre or disturbing to be a part of this swap. You could be into real preserved insect and animal parts as comfortably as someone else might want a little paper butterfly collection.

Swap size guidelines:

This swap will be for 1 Medium and 1 small.

No one likes to be flaked on, so if you aren't sure if you can do this swap, PLEASE DON'T SIGN UP.
If you know you will be late or unable to complete the swap please let me know ASAP.
Communication is a must. Everyone is required to post on the thread at least once before the swap begins.

Tracking (formerly called delivery confirmation) is required within the U.S., please send the tracking number to both your partner and organizer when you send. Please keep you mailing receipt if you are sending internationally.
PM both your Partner and organizer when you send and receive.

Please post pictures of what you receive. Your partner worked hard on it and we would all love to see it! If you cannot post up please let your partner know as soon as you know. Make sure you take pictures of everything you send just in case.
*Although posting pictures is not a requirement to receive positive feedback.*

5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Fur-edged Stocking on: December 08, 2016 11:26:50 AM
I made this for kmac in the stocking swap. I am a hap-hazard quilter, the little squares don't line up, and aren't meant to. I lined the stocking and added a furry edge. I ended up having to hand-stitch on the piece of gold lace because I forgot to add it sooner. Oops!

6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Little Stitched Leaves on: December 08, 2016 11:22:47 AM
I made these for kmac in the stocking swap. I originally had intended to attach these to a ribbon and make a bunting of sorts. But I decided that leaving them as individual pieces would allow my partner to use them however she saw fit. They can be seasonal or year-round decorations, attached to future art, or perhaps even fashioned into jewelry with little alterations. The tie-dyed top piece was made locally while the felt bases I got at a local re-purpose art store.

The backs:

7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Mini Goddess Wall Art on: December 08, 2016 11:17:24 AM
I made this for kmac in the stocking swap. The tie-dyed piece I found at a local salvage art shop, made locally. The brownish-greenish fabric bits on the front I got in a shop-the-swap last year, I don't remember who made it. There are random stitches and little bits of frayed scraps. I glued a short dowel to the back to keep the piece hanging flat.

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Plaque Doctor Doll on: December 08, 2016 11:01:52 AM
I made this for kmac in the Stocking Swap.

Jointed elbows, tattered glove edge. An interesting note about the tattered edge... the gloves were made from  a curtain panel that had been in my kid's room. I might have had their pet rat cage a little too close to the curtains. Smiley The tattered edges are made "naturally". Cheesy

Jointed legs:

I added the little square patch after I made the gloves so the color would tie in. The metal ring is for hanging.

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Leather Hair Accessories on: December 08, 2016 10:44:19 AM
I made these for kmac in the recent Stocking Swap. She had something similar pinned so I had to give it a go. I found a decent piece of leather in a scrap bin at the local leather store. I bought a leather hole punch, a metal tool for drawing lines, and a dowel. I painted them with acrylics and voila! I hope they get lots of use. They are a green leaf, a whimsical fall leaf, and the feather I painted like an Eagle feather.
