Those look so cute on you!!  That's a genius idea too, that I didn't even think of.  Make the pattern in shorts first...and don't waste a ton of fabric if it's not quite the right fit.

I have the book too, and that pattern is very cute!  Love the low back yoke.

Nice job with that pattern!  It really is that easy, everyone should try these Wink

To answer the questions, the diva cup (i use a mooncup, similar thing) works great!!  I love it, and will never go back.  I am buying one as a gift for my sister too, since I wish I'd known about it earlier.

My pads are flannel too, but just zigzagged around the edges (or serged), I like to use water proof fabric like pul (polyurethane laminate)  For a backing, but it's not necessary as long as you change often.

When I'm out, a plastic bag in the purse works great.  I don't rinse mine, I put them in a lidded container in the laundry room til wash day.  They do dry out, but I don't have stains.

/tmi out Wink

Thank you for the tute!!!  It's very pretty.  I think it looks awesome as is, but it's a woven and would fray.  maybe just do a line of stitching 1/4 inch from the edge for the frayed look but still finished =-)

beautiful rooms gardenhoe!!!!  I am in the midst of doing my son's and will post when it is done:)

To the pp....I think she may have been talking about the wooden "half eggs" from craft stores?  I have seen them at michaels and jo annes.

Fabric flowers are always a pretty touch if you want something 3d.  Try rolling fabric scraps into roses, or searching for more complex ones.
