21  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / I love this fabric... on: February 14, 2009 09:30:51 AM
This is a little halterneck I made with my favourite fabric.  I only bought a meter of it, I MUST get some more its delicious!!

I tried to make a little pair of linen trousers to team with the halterneck, but I got into too much of a fiddle with them.  I really need to practice on making trousers... any tips?

I think I agree with Kim.  They are way too expensive, (plus I incur shipping costs to UK).  I think they resemble alot like vintage patterns which you can pick up on Ebay.

Your dd looks adorable in that outfit, even though you think it may be too small.  Great work!
28  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Just finished this dress, what do you think? on: January 29, 2009 05:01:34 AM
I does look really low on this model, I agree.  This model is only a 6mth stand so it was difficult to balance an age 6 dress on it, hence me loosening the strap of the halterneck.  thats the beauty of the tie halterneck, you had adjust it to what fits.

I may open an Etsy shop if I can get a line together, its actually something I've wanted to do for a while... and this dress may end up in there!

This fabric is sandi henderson's garden party.  It really does remind me of spring.  I've no action shot I'm afraid as I've no models for it.  I've got two boys!! I do sometimes like to give myself a break and sew something pretty though.

Gorgeous photos.  I think your toddler did a great job, I like blue and green!  wish I could sew a shirt for my boy, they look so complicated.
