31  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: My dad's birthday and his Chevy truck on: October 10, 2005 12:23:43 PM
Theres so much stuff you could buy for the truck for him...what is it in need of? (like repairs or such). A set of white wall tires is always good too (but expensive) haha.
I liked Conley's idea for contacting Overhaulin'. Oh man, they make some great cars!
I think a good question is what kind of truck is your dad going to make with this. Is it going to be restored back to classic, turned into a rat rod, or a billet/plastic fantastic Boyd mobile? ( a Boyd'ster is one of those high end "hot rods" that put brand new motors, air conditioning, upholstry, paint...blah blah blah into the car and it never even resembles anything out of the 40's ).
Your best bet is to find out what kind of motor he has running in it and buy him LOTS OF PARTS!!!
32  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Climbing spiders- my first beading on wire project on: October 10, 2005 08:33:59 AM
Yea, I found the legs to be quite fraggile. This just reminded me that I have one stuffed in my purse, so I took it out to look at it, and the legs are slightly out of plac, but no real harm done. I would just be careful about creasing the bends if you need to bend them back into shape. A heavier gage wire might be a good suggestion, but then it gets hard to put the seed beads and bugle beeds on.
33  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Re: anyone else getting cranky? on: October 08, 2005 08:06:38 AM
Why would your partner get positive feedback already if you havent received??? Id talk to your organizer about that, and if that doesnt work, talk to a mod. I know sometimes things get confusing on swaps (if theyre big)...hopefully you dont get shafted!!!
34  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Mohawks? on: October 07, 2005 03:52:40 PM
Thank you Rocknroll for posting the only acceptable method to put a mohawk up with. Pump bottle, too, Im assuming. I dont understand why people keep calling it a mohawk when it isnt even cut. Cut it. Dont be a pansy.

Yea it is, but then when you get good enough to stripe peoples cars or sell pannels as art, you make all that back in like 5 minutes.
Check out my friend, pheonix on myspace, she is awsome! And can help anyone out with questions (just tell her I sent ya Wink )
37  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: Just a quick query on: October 07, 2005 09:02:50 AM
Is the bobbin thread right when you put it in? Theres usually a diagram on how the thread goes, but it drops in, then loops around a little metal peice. If youre still having problems, look up your local sewing machine shop or the manual (if you have one).
I know they can be a pain in the back end, you'll get it though!!!
38  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Does anyone pinstripe? I want to learn... on: October 07, 2005 08:52:12 AM
yea, its expensive, but so many people I know have taken it and loved it. He teaches all the basics, but I guess hes actually on the cheap side, if you look around, some go up to $500 bucks a day!
