1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Espresso Brownie Soap on: August 11, 2015 12:14:45 PM
This was a complete and utter mistake and it turned out so well! I'd made a batch of goat's milk soap with espresso ground coffee ground, they were very fine. But I didn't add any fragrance and I was really unhappy with it. So I rebatched it, add Turkish Mocha fragrance oil and viola!

The original soap was cream colored with flecks of coffee. Somehow during rebatching it turned into this amazing brownie color. So I put it in square molds, dusted it with mica for a little vavavoom. I need to try to make it on purpose next, as everyone is begging me for some!

Just got "done" with a teenager. Done, as in, she has left home now and is living at college. She just turned 19. She's finally turning that corner where she seems like a normal human being. But the past few years were kind of awful. I don't know why anyone has more than one. And my poor parents had three of us in high school at one point. Ugh.

Now she's awesome. Ugh. Teenagers.

What is my lesson learned from this swap?
Never, ever sign up for a swap right before a 7 week road trip. Yikes!!
I just got home after 5,000 miles and 7 weeks. My parcel was waiting for me, containing a wonderful felt ornament, a lovely embroidered heart (looks very Swedish! I love it!!) and a crocheted heart.
Thank you mama24boyz!!!! Sorry I was so slow in posting!

Check-in. Have not started crafting but have started stalking and assembling ideas/supplies. My goal is to have it done and sent by the 7th at the latest. I am going on an insane road trip starting on the 11th (4,500 miles over 41 days) so I want to make sure it is done!!

Sent! It's Priority Mail so should be within two to three days!
This was my first major craft project since breaking both wrists last year. I'm pretty happy with how it went, even though one hand is just not quite the same. There was one project which was a bit of a struggle, but I did it! Now I just hope Karen likes it all. I am having that "just mailed out my package" nervous feeling.
