21  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: One Tiny Unloved Creature Swap (Signups 3/2-3/16, Sendout 4/19) on: April 14, 2016 10:18:30 PM
Two down, one to go!  I may need to make myself one of my most recent creations.

ALSO, I received my second tiny creature!  Wait till you guys see the gorgeous little thing that puzzled-penguin made for me!  I'm giddy....

Had a moment of panic when I thought I might have to start over, but I was thankfully wrong.  One down, 2 to go. Obviously I procrastinated a bit, but not intentionally. I'm determined to send on time though.

Love the glasses, the watercolor cards, the tiny armadillo, and the coasters!!! Not surprisingly, everything in the gallery so far is fabulous!

I'd like to add this little treasure I received from Chameleon hound!

Thank you Chameleon Hound!! He's soooo cute! And FYI, my husband knew right away what it was without having any clue about this swap or what the theme was.  Cheesy

Lol! If only!!! Cheesy

I've started some crafting, but I really need to kick it into gear if I want to get finished with all three partner's items in time.  I love this swap theme sooooo much, it's so ME, but I have to admit that I'm dissapointed that my non-crafting life has been keeping me from really delving into crafting for this.  UGh!  I just have to make time and let the dishes, laundry, dinner, and kid's homework go wayward for a spell.   Embarrassed

I read that a bit too fast and got rather excited.  I thought you were saying you had the SPELL for getting dishes, laundry, dinner and kids taken care of.  Wouldn't that be nice Grin

So many fabulous ATCs this round! I love too many to list, but the little chicken has to be my fave.

And this one by curiousfae is another fave!

Received these lovely items from rockingbearranch:

It's a pitcher plant and an adorable mini bunny card! Love them both!

Thank you!

Plein air is from the French. Plain air. It means to draw or paint outside in the open air. Technically LaChapa didn't do plein air since it is inside. Those small portable easels are perfect for it. Monet and Renoir did plein air paintings. Early painters tried to capture the natural light in some of those famous paintings of water lilies, haystacks, etc. The next time you go to the museum, stop and really look at one of them for a couple of minutes. You can possibly tell the time of day, or feel the breeze or the water moving.

Actually, it's outside on my patio. Was hoping to get out to an "open" area, but the timing for that proved more challenging than expected.  I guess that's the cost of city living. I would have gone downtown if I was any good at drawing buildings.

Still tossing around some ideas.  I want to make sure there isn't something else I'd rather do before resorting to my default craft.  Hey, sometimes it's perfect for the job!
