The sleepy kitty ornaments are adorable Grab a coffee!  I'll have to check out your Etsy page!  Wink

SO, I received my package from anna.wahnsinn, and it totally rocks!
First, she sent these super cute, super fun, juggling balls for my 4yr old son. (He's making out like a bandit from this swap!)

The colors look a little washed out as I used my phone to take this, but the fabric is lovely and vibrant.  I love the themes she chose too!

Next, she sent me this super duper awesome seed bead necklace!

It is so gorgeous, and I feel like Frida Kahlo wearing it!  My son was laughing at me, because I told him I felt like an Egyptian goddess, and then I proceeded to "walk like an Egyptian."  That phrase may be lost on the younger generation, not sure.  Now, I want one in every color!

Thank you Anna.wahnsinn!  I love, love everthing!  Feel free to claim me for another necklace again, and again, and again, and again.  Haha!  Grin

Averia, that would have been pure evil of me if I did that! Haha.  For some reason, Pinhead doesn't seem menacing to me at all although he probably should!  If you watch some of the other episodes, you realize he's not such a bad guy.  Haha, I sound crazy!  Anyway, the grey/blue was labeled as "denim blue" so I guess it's supposed to look like faded jeans?  I tried to stick to your color scheme, but I couldn't find bright blue for some odd reason.  Here's a pic where they may or may not look marginally bluer...

84  Min Pin amigurumi in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by La Chapa on: July 15, 2014 05:28:44 PM
I made this little Miniature Pinscher for kittykill in the OWS.  It was a bit fiddly getting all the details right, and I'm not sure if it looks too much like a chihuahua, but I'm pretty happy with how he came out.  I didn't use any pattern.  I find it very relaxing to just work without having to worry about reading a pattern or taking notes to write a pattern from.

Thanks for looking!

85  Yoda doll in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by La Chapa on: July 14, 2014 10:21:22 PM
I made this little Yoda for Alliekat914 in the OWS.  No pattern, I just had fun with it.  I was originally going to give him more face detail, but he looked so cute that I was afraid of ruining him, so I left him alone.

Thanks for looking!

86  Kodama and an Amanita Mushroom in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by La Chapa on: July 14, 2014 11:29:57 AM
I made these for Acadian Driftwood in the WC&EF swap.  I love both Kodama and mushrooms, so when she listed them as some of her forest faves I couldn't resist.  The sitting Kodama, and the one with the stake coming out of it's foot are potted plant/garden decor.  The Kodama with the blue ribbon is an ornament.  She mentioned wanting an ornament for her car, so I thought she might like this.  I decided to make the mushroom a pendant.  I used colored clay for all of them, and then I glazed with sculpey glaze.  Super simple.  They all have fingerprints, dust, and other such imperfections.  Not sure if that sucks or just adds character.   Undecided

I couldn't resist making myself a Kodama for my planted terrarium

I wanted to make myself an amanita too, but I used the last of my white on this one.  I love sculpting even though I'm not very good at it.  I think I'll just embrace my primitive style rather than stress myself out over being good at it.  I'm happy with that.  Smiley

Thanks for looking!

87  Re: Woodland Creature & Enchanted Forest Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by La Chapa on: July 06, 2014 02:08:21 AM
Oh, I love those moss spirits!

AND...check out the goodies I received from Acadian Driftwood today!  I am super stoked!

She sent two cute mushroom stuffies, which are also magnets!,  a crow/galaxy shirt, a crow totem stone, and a seeing stone that she found in an old riverbed!

But that is not all, oh no that is not all...
She also sent me this gorgeous mini art quilt!

I love my stuff so much!  The mushrooms are perfect, and the shirt is ingenious, really, I love it!  I'm quite the crow lover, so the totem stone is perfect, and how awesome is that seeing stone!?  I wonder what caused it to erode that way?  Anyway, I love geology, so this will have a special spot on my curio shelf, amongst my fossils and shells and such.  And the quilt, Oh the quilt!  It is beyond perfect for me!  Love the colors, love all the fabric choices, and I love the (big!) little moth!   She added little charms, and embroidered all kinds of subtle details into this thing!  You can't really see from the picture, but here are some close ups.  Can you believe that Acadian Driftwood says this is her first MAQ!?

Well, anyway, thank you , thank you , thank you!  I am now on a mission to find the perfect manzanita branch for my mini quilt.  Smiley

Alwaysinmyroom, that bag rocks!

I Sew Silly, did you make that rectangular doily?  It's a gorgeous pattern!

Love the Peanuts ornaments too!

AND, of course supplies are always super fun! In fact, I received my package of supplies from Alliecat### last week.  Sorry, it's taken me a minute to post, it's been a busy weekend.

Anyway, she got me a variety of fun stuff and included a motherload of awesome naturey-buggy charms!  I love everything!  Thanks Alliecat!

90  Re: Twinches Needlework Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by La Chapa on: June 10, 2014 03:06:07 PM
Oh, the gallery is already 6 pages long!  I'll go back and check out all the awesome in a minute, but right now I want to (finally!) post what Ludi sent me!

She made me the cutest chubbiest toad brooch ever!  And, it's stumpwork, so I can actually poke it's belly!   Cheesy

(I flipped my ring around so you all can see how much of a herptile person I am  Wink )

You can't even fully see all the colors of thread that were meticulously layered to create this!

Plus I got a bonus because she sent me one of artsycandice's block-printed cards (which smells wonderful and reminds of when I was still in school studying art.)  Lucky me, as I am a Lovecraft fan for sure!

And I took a picture of it next to my girl Petunia, well because I just had too!!  Petunia is at least 11 yrs old!

Thank you so much Ludi!
Now...how to get more needlework twinchies!!!???
