2  a much cooler polo & a variation on the jeans-to-skirt. in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lyzalyzalyza on: August 02, 2005 12:24:41 PM
FIRST. i cut down the middle of a stinky old polo i never wore and painted some melting hearts.

^the shirt as it's drying.

SECOND. i did the whole cut-and-fill-in-between-teh-legs thing with some jeans that had FANTASTIC pockets on the legs. they were crying to be made into a skirt. CRYING.

but i also wanted a bit wider skirt with a little more flair, so i cut up the sides of the legs too and filled those in. i also took some scraps and sewed it across. just for...unique decoration? also added a neat-o lace trim. yaaaay.

so! my mother works at calico corners (fabric/furniture store...specializes in WINDOW TREATMENTS), and so she always gets great remnants of fabrics. here's a little simple somethin i made from some upholstery fabric & green silk:

keeps together my gazillion sharpies and other markers Smiley

i've fallen in love with this idea <3
i've already made a whole bunch (polka-dotted, plaid..the big bold patterns really work well with the design!). this one i made the opening diagonally, along the stripes of the fabric. and i didn't bother with putting caribeaners on.. i liked it tied off Smiley

5  weezer t-shirt .. from a medium, to a cute&tiny! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lyzalyzalyza on: June 01, 2005 02:26:35 PM
soo, myself & a couple of friends go to see weezer a few weeks ago in NYC, and end up buying 10$ t-shirts from a guy on the street. the t-shirts were/are probably fake, but they were cheaper than the actual merchandise, so whatever. the guy ran out of smalls and i ended up with a medium!

so i took the scissors to it. i'm proud of it, my first reconstruction Smiley

not too hard. i just sewed up the sides (leaving a few inches on the bottom slit open), ripped off the sleeves, & cut open the neck. i didn't shorten it...i liked the length

7  a book :x in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by lyzalyzalyza on: April 22, 2005 02:50:56 PM
hullo Smiley i'm new to craftster, but a long-time lurker. mini bio? i'm seventeen, live in new jersey. the end. i'm sure you all will get to know me the more i post. SO.

here's a little book i made for the boyfriend (who, is the best in the world. if i could show off the things he's made for me, you'd understand). there's at least twenty pages in there (i'm only showing a few!), i can't really remember. measures around 5 x 7 in & i covered it with some material i had left over from cropping some sweat pants, but i turned it inside out so the towely-sorta-inside of the pants was showing. it's the first book i've made. the best part is making holes with the hammer Smiley

close-up of texture + stitching

oops, glare. the little white box says "very much so."

that's not blood. just red paint. it just looks like it.
