Ohh starlitex7 thanks for reminding me I have a uniform shirt that is hanging in my closet because it was like $50 and I've never worn it.

Thanks for posting those for me. I was so excited I finally had gotten it done lol. Think it will make a great bathing suit cover.
16  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My first tshirt recon on: February 01, 2012 10:46:37 AM
Started out as this big tshirt that I got from Goodwill for $1.50

After some cutting and messing with I finally got this

I ended up putting elasticin the back as it was too big. I think it will end up ebony my bathing suit cover. Oh the bodice part is the sleeves. I just nOticed you can't see the strips in the picture. Not too bad for first time and no pattern.

Sorry it won't let me post the pics since I haven't posted enough so direct links for now

I use a seam ripper to open up my buttonholes. You can do just a little at a time giving more control over not tearing your stitches.

Omg that is totally cool and I just expanded my search at thrift stores to any size! And my daughters favorite tshirts that she can't wear will be wearable again.
