Growing up in Northern Alberta (Canada), I always looked forward to that first snowfall of the year. It always put me in a holiday frame of mind. But it got old pretty quickly, when exposed skin would freeze in 2 minutes (not exaggerating - remember in A Christmas Story, the kid in the snowsuit with the scarf wrapped around his head? Yep, that was us) or when I had to shovel, scrape off the windshield, plug my car in, drive on black ice and/or through blizzards - yeah, where I grew up they didn't shut everything down during a blizzard unless there was a power outage, so you still had to go to work even when visibility degraded to about 2 feet in front of your car.
Now I live in Arizona and I only see snow when I want to! LOL! I can drive for an hour and a half to Payson or a couple hours to Flagstaff and go play in the white stuff -- or go to visit family in Utah and Idaho. So we get just enough to keep us happy!
And I find it very humorous that both Onyxnox and Gozer are asking me about glitter at the same time! Ha! Gozer you are always so far ahead of schedule - I haven't even started on your Christmas yet, and I'm fully aware that you probably started on mine about 2 months ago.
