31  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Weaved Pendent Necklaces on: August 27, 2011 07:36:23 PM
So in my last post I talked about how I use to think that wooden beads were ugly and that nothing nice or pretty could be made out of them. Since then I ventured into weaving with them and I love the results. The wooden beads weren't difficult to weave with considering their large holes. The backs of the necklaces consist of seedbeads strands. They all have clam shell tips and spring ring clasps. I wanted to make these look old and vintage looking with the gold seedbeads. I'm in love with the first one. These necklaces were so cheap to make I think I used my junkest beads to make them. I want to make this pendent design with pearls. So please tell me what you all think about my necklaces.

32  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Wood and Glass Bead Necklaces on: August 22, 2011 08:01:36 PM
I always thought that wooden beads where kind of ugly and that nothing nice or pretty could be made out of them. Well, strangely, I challenged myself to try to make some nice jewelry out of them. I figured that using them with different kinds of beads like glass, shell, plastic, metal and coconut. Would give them a make over and it worked. I am proud of the results. I now have a huge roly kit box full of wooden beads all shapes, sizes and colors. Anyways hope everyone likes these lots of thought put into them.
I have more jewelry made out of wooden beads that I plan to post. Please tell me what you think about them.

This one makes me think of the Bahamas. The seedbeads are wrapped around wooden beads.

I really like this one there is no clasp it has sliding barrel knots so it can be worn at any length like a choker or up to 26 inches long.

I found the shells for this on the beach. The blue beads are brighter in person. Thanks for looking.
33  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Weaved bugle bead Earrings + Seedbead Flower Earrings on: August 22, 2011 06:41:01 PM
First pair: I bought a purse with this design in wooden beads and figured out how to make it into earrings. Someone told me they look like dream catchers.

Second and third pair: I wanted to figure out away to weave beads into the shape of a flower. Then when inspiration hit me like always I was nowhere near my beading desk to make it so I wrote down my design ideas. Later that beading night I made them. Yes, I was so happy they turn out just the way I saw them in my mind.

34  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Chain and Pearl Earrings on: August 15, 2011 08:34:45 PM
I made these gold earrings for my sister she is allergic to certain metals, she turns green.
Anyway, I designed these to slide the loop over any stud earring post. They can also be worn at the end of the pearl chain to make them longer. She is very happy with them. I hope everybody likes these and maybe this design will help somebody else with the same problem. They were very easy to make. The silver earrings are mine and they look much better in person and on.
These were hard to photograph. They look more like 10k gold in person.

This is where the post goes though the loop an then you put it though your ear and put the back on.

These are on fish hook ear wires. They are one of my favorite pair to wear. There are three different kinds of chain and glass pearls.
35  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Flashy sequin earrings on: August 13, 2011 09:33:12 PM
I found most of these sequins on damaged purses and decided to make earrings out of them. Tell me what you guys think about them. Comments welcome.

I don't even remember where these sequins came from but I love these colors.

These sequins came from a purse.

I really like these they are copper except the ear wires and behind the spirals are sequins.
36  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Thread Earrings and a pendant on: August 13, 2011 08:08:52 PM
I wanted to make Peruvian threaded earrings, but I didn't have the coiled wire to do it. I kept messing around trying to think of a alternative and I thought of using beads after trying differant kinds I ended up using size 6 seedbeads. Both pair are 3 inches long.

Here is the one I made in peacock colors. This is the very first one I made. I am not very happy about the look of brown thread at the top I like the design of the earrings  more. What do you guys think about it?

37  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Beaded Pink Cupcake on: August 11, 2011 05:16:07 PM
I got the instructions to make this from beadjewelrymaking.com.
I used 5mm round beads for the top. For the bottom I used 12mm bugle beads.Plus size 11 seedbeads. I also used one piece of fishing line about 4ft. long. There are large beads inside of it to prevent it from losing it shape. I plan to use this as a charm for my purse. This is kinda weird that I just happen to post something like this on my Birthday.
