I think that is the most adorable thing ever!

I'm partial to naming him Schuyler or Skyler because he's sky blue and it's such a cute name (for a little plushie!)

Anyone know of any?  I would like to hook up with a regular get together sorta crowd, but I think everything cool is on the other side of the river.

Prove me wrong!

That's good to know!  I went in for a new Janome 509, because I wanted something that was plain and simple and that I couldn't destroy.  They didn't have any, but had this used machine for $30 cheaper.  He made a good sell of it, but not knowing anything about them, he probably could have sold me a plastic toy model of a sewing machine without too much effort. :-P

Aww, thanks!  I felt awfully silly about the whole thing - I know that everyone on here that's been sewing since before they could reach the pedal is probably rolling their eyes at me, but I didn't have anyone else to gush to!  Grin

I bought my very first sewing machine on Sunday.  It's the one crafty thing I've never learned how to do, since putting a needle through my thumb as a little girl scared me off of it... it's a used Pfaff hobby 1040 and the manual's on order since they didn't get it in with the machine.

It may have taken me three days, but I just figured out what the dials do.  Ha!  I even managed to sew in a straight line.  I'm so proud of myself that I feel silly about it!

I feel almost prouder over figuring this darn thing out than I did when I finished my first shaped knitted sweater back in middle school.

Yaaay me.  Maybe I'll someday even be talented enough to post something here - you people are all so talented and crafty that it makes me sick sometimes! Smiley
