Thanks guys! I  used to have them in a ring binder but of course that means making big holes in them!
Coptic binding means I can open the book flat to see the outside or inside of each card fully.

I didn't trim them, I aligned them among the bottom edges and then just did looser stitches higher up if I needed to account for a small card (umm... I've explained that badly! I'll see if I can add a pic!). You could also organise them by size, but I wanted to keep them chronological - and that way I can also easily add more to the back in the future Smiley

challenge: Floo- baker st
House: ravenclaw
Project: card book
I've been meaning to bind together my old cards (birthday cards, Christmas etc - I don't keep them all, but ones with nice messages or homemade... There are quite a few from you guys in the Christmas exchange!) ... Of course once I actually sat down to do it it didn't take long, I could do this Coptic stitch binding in my sleep!

The game looks fab Erin! I'm afraid though that your floo powder challenge was submitted too late - the prompt changed on Monday (as is the new normal since a couple of prompts ago now) and that means you had until midnight Monday central time to submit the old challenge. You can change your submission just by editing the post though - please do so asap because if it's not changed before Jennie or I tally house points we won't be able to include it and you'll have to completely resubmit Sad
Thanks!

I'd be so jealous if you surprised my sister with a (blanket stealing) visit without dropping in on me too, Edel!

noodle - I LOVE THAT BLANKET!!!  How much do you think it would cost to ship one across the ocean???  HA!!

Good luck on the next one. Cheesy

Based on the fact that the throw rug I crocheted for noodle cost $60 to ship to the UK, I'm going to guess it'd be a lot.  Cheesy

@noodle: fantastic job on your OWL!  How big is it?  It's hard to judge size because the stitches are so huge.  Smiley

The financial cost would be a lot, but the cost of my dislike for you making me knit another one would be higher still!! Cheesy  Tongue

It's a good single bed blanket width, but only about 2 thirds the length of a single blanket. I thought I'd brought enough yarn for a whole blanket, judging by the guide on the site where I brought it - but I wasn't getting their tension. I realised that in the first row and decided that a short and squat was better than long and thin, so I cast on a couple of extra stitches.

OWL submission!!

Subject: potions option 2
House: ravenclaw
Project: engorged blanket!
Knitting this was such hard work! It weighed so much, it was like an arm work out and because of the size of the needles I couldn't snuggle on the sofa to work on it Sad but it's done ! Hurrah!

And....
Owl Proposal!
Subject: divination option 3
House: ravenclaw
Project: giant blanket
You know how I just celebrated being done? Well, I have another blanket to go Sad it's bigger than the zodiac! And it needs to be done before my mum's birthday 22nd April (the first blanket took me 2 months, so I guess I gotta up my game!!)
