714  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Ideas for broken zips on: November 13, 2011 02:19:19 PM
I had a swap recently, and my partner made me this bracelet with a zipper. I love it, it's very comfortable and easy to wear. It snaps on with a regular sew on snap.

715  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Altoids tiny tin, use it or save it? on: November 13, 2011 02:16:36 PM
I have an Altoids "The TINY tin", which I see on certain auction sites is worth a bit, and I am trying to decide if I should use it and alter it or save it for the future. It does have a tiny bit of scratching on it anyway, but I have had it sitting here in front of me, and every time I think about doing something to it, I stop. Would you use it or save it? Or am I being too picky about it? Thanks for any replies!

Here is the fabulous loot sent to me by jenellebelle. She got the perfect combination of Gorey and whimsey, and understood I like pink glittery things as well as dark themes, I got a ton of stuff in an antique Ball Jar. It now has all of my very best buttons in it. She also sent me buttons, and I can't count the number of times my husband rolled his eyes every time I  said "ooo, there's a good one!". She made me an excellent Gorey tote, with a scene from the Neglected Murderesses story. And a sweet purple octopus pin, that the boycat was shrieked at for trying to claim. I love every single thing she sent, and I have all sorts of things already brewing(including great stuff for my seemingly never finished carnival themed project). And the bird tissue paper!!! Love it, I think I will frame some of it. Thanks jenelle!!!
