...to be a camera hoe!  Grin

hey ^__^! I've been lurking on craftster pretty much for the entirety of this year >__<;; I've just now gotten up the confidence in my sewing skills to show off some stuff i've made so far. Some i refuse to wear in public(first dress...ugh .__. BAD fabric choice!=bad fit=not wearing), and others are dirty so i can't post them right now (cordurouy and denim jacket).
I've been sewing seriously since january, and i'm not sure if i'm at the point i should be at. I don't have any other newbie sewers around to gauge myself against, so could someone give me an idea of how i'm doing? Some of these are bags, but i thought i should keep all of this together, since i'm putting up so much anyway...

so here it is, in chronological order.

March 2005.
Watermelon bag (made from a craftster tutorial. yaaay!) for my friend's 18th birthday out of red and green denim. My first bag *PRIDE*
and the happy recipient

fastforward to april, past a not-so-successful pair of blue cord pants (booo simplicity! i think simplicity is either owned by satan, or i'm really slow. the directions don't make much sense at all, and the patterns are made of tissue paper. ick), and some other stuff i don't remember at the moment.

Using a kwik sew pattern (I'll find the # if anyone wants, it was soooo easy! kwik sew rocks) i made some brown cordurouy jeans. I followed the sizing on the pattern, but they ended up huge, note the tie as a belt.(actually, i ONLY wear ties as belts...i can find them to match everything!) phht, i've since learned to not listen to pattern companies so much.
