Yes, this my second purple scarf. But with some pratice!
(I used "Dark Orchid" yarn.)

I used my own pattern:
A Starter chain(o) of 20 + 2
Second row single crochet stitch(o), chain 1 and turn
Third row is crossed crochet stitch(X) with double crochet stitches, chain 1 and turn
Fourth row of single row crochet stitches(o), chain 3 and turn
Fifth row of stitch a row crossed stitch(X), chain 1 and turn
Sixth row of single row crochet stitches(o), chain 3 and turn
seventh row stitch a row of crossed stitches(X), chain 1 and turn
Eighth row of single crochet stitches, chain 3 and turn
Ninth row of treble crochet stitches( 8 ), chain 1 and turn
Tenth row of single crochet stitches(o), chain 3 and turn

Repeat from the Third row and keep repeating until the desired length.
(The last row should be with a single crochet row on top of an other row of single crochet stitches.)

Tassels were made with three strings of yarn, and the 2 corner tassels were made with four stings of yarn.

22  Cover for ripped foot rest. in Crochet: Completed Projects by FlordeCrafty on: February 28, 2011 12:52:43 PM
I wasn't in a rush to post this project up, but since this chair is going to the curb. (Since the arrival of his brand new chair.) I thought I'd take a pic to show the work I did.

It's my sweetie's "man chair" from the basement. This Lazy-e-boy chair had a rip on the foot rest part. So I whipped up a simple crochet scarf, and sewed it to the foot rest.

I used a very thick yarn and he picked out the color for me to use.

23  Chocolate Box or ??? in What the heck can I do with THIS? by FlordeCrafty on: February 19, 2011 07:23:59 PM
I got this box from work. It is so cute and has nice folded hinge. I couldn't just throw it away.
I'd like to make it something that could be used again, without runing the frail fold in the hinge part.

Any ideas? ~Thanks in advance  Cheesy

24  Mini Bags/Purses in Crochet: Completed Projects by FlordeCrafty on: February 14, 2011 09:46:53 AM
This is one in many series of crochet stitches I am learning. This one is the crumpled stitch. (There are a few double crochet stitches and one treble row for the front flap to fold over easier.)
I made a mini bag or make-up bag for inside your purse. OR when you don't want to carry a purse just put your id, money and chapstick in.

The button I used is clear.  Cheesy

This one was made with a Crunchy Dots pattern and a few single, double crochet stitches and one treble for the last row, boardered with single crochet stitches

25  Kinda not Romantic but, more funny -Fortune Cookies in Valentine's Day by FlordeCrafty on: February 13, 2011 09:52:51 AM
We are huge fans for the Simpsons tv show. But he doesn't like real fortune cookies.
So I merged handicrafts and simpsons in this Valentine's Day themed gift.

I used the Martha Stewart fortune cookie pattern.

26  Scarf with OSU/Buckeye team spirit in Crochet: Completed Projects by FlordeCrafty on: February 13, 2011 09:09:41 AM
I finished this scarf a while ago. Last night I just added the second buckeye to this scarf. They didn't turn out the way I wanted.
This is a birthday gift for my sis who is a huge OSU/Buckeye fan. But I hope she'll like it.

I used a crossed stitch with single crochet every other row, in between the crossed stitched rows.

Update 2/23: I gave it to my sis last night, she loved it.  Grin

27  52 Reasons Why I Love You! - Lots more pics! in Valentine's Day by FlordeCrafty on: February 11, 2011 10:08:04 AM
Yes, I was inspired from my fellow Craftster on this Valentine's Day gift idea.
So, my thanks to you guys!!!

I did change it up a bit, I didn't want to alert him why is red card deck was missing. So I used an older blue card deck. Which I think works just as good  Shocked
Instead of using rings to connect the cards, I braided white white ribbons, and tied it around the whole card deck. Which helped it from sticking out accordion style.

Then I recycled a once used gift bag, and used the card box as a decoration to cover the old decal on the bag. Then rapped the cards up in tissue paper.

UPDATE: When he finally sat down and looked at every page, he was about the cry. He said it was the sweetest, thing that was ever made for him. I am so happy he love it!

30  An Eye for You in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by FlordeCrafty on: January 18, 2011 09:17:10 AM
I did this project, right before I came down with the flu...

I wanted to make a small, strange and unique pincushion. So here is my eyeball pincushion, I guess it would be more popluar if it was made for Halloween. But still it was fun to make and keep my pins in.  Wink
The iris, is a button.
