1  Mass Effect N7 Dress in LIMBO by LittleLaura on: February 23, 2017 02:03:15 PM
Moved from: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=7.0

So, I decided it was time to make something ME themed. I couldnt decide for a while what I wanted to make and then the idea for this dress just kind of popped in my mind. I wanted to make something that would be recognizable by Mass Effect fans but not costume-y so I can wear it out. I'm sure after my first playthrough Ill be making something to wear thats Andromeda inspired too.

The pattern I used was a custom design with custom measurements from BootstrapFashion. It fit perfectly except for needing to slightly shorten the straps but that's pretty normal for me even with custom patterns. I the black and white are suiting fabrics and the red is actually a silky thing I found in the remnants bin. It was super annoying to work with but it was the exact color I needed and it was super cheap so I went with it. The patch came from PaperPlanesCosplay on Etsy.

2  First Quilt! in Quilting: Completed Projects by LittleLaura on: January 24, 2017 11:22:02 AM
Like the title says this is the first quilt I've ever made. I usually make clothes and bags but I wanted to try something different for a change. Here are a couple pictures of the finished project (which has already been claimed by Vici Grin)

3  Poochon Pillow in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by LittleLaura on: November 02, 2016 02:06:32 PM
I have a little four pound poochon (toy poodle/bichon mix) and she loves pillows. I stumbled across this fabric at Joann and I had to get it since the dog in the print looks so much like her! I made the pillow pretty quickly and she seems to really like it.

4  Cherry Skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by LittleLaura on: October 07, 2016 11:18:46 AM
I found this in the remnant bin at JoAnn (it was .93 yards) and figured it would be enough to make a skirt if I cut it in half and attached it so I'd have double the length. I ended up using the entire piece and pleated it to fit my waist. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for more almost-a-yard pieces of fabric since it's such a fun and easy project to do.

Brief Description: I've had this fabric for a while and finally decided to make a skirt with it. I didn't use a pattern, I just kind of went for it Grin I wish I could get a picture of how the white parts of the fabric glow in the dark but my camera doesn't want to cooperate Angry

8  Harley Quinn Cosplay in Costumes: Completed Projects by LittleLaura on: May 18, 2016 04:07:22 PM
Motor City Comic Con was this past weekend and I went dressed as Harley Quinn. The skirt is a self drafted pattern and the top is a VERY heavily modified version of a vintage crop top pattern. The arm bands are made from a belt that I cut up and sewed together. I probably spent about 30 hours working on this since I went through many different attempts at the top before I got it right (this may be the most unforgiving fabric I've ever used).

Project Name: Star Wars Bomber Jacket
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=445266.0
Brief Description: I found some amazing Star Wars velcro patches (that also glow in the dark!) and had no idea what to do with them until I found this leather jacket at a thrift store. I hand stitched the patches which ended up being a lot more difficult than I originally thought since I've never tried to hand sew velcro onto leather. My tiny little hands ended up taking three days to sew six patches Cheesy I'm happy with how it turned out and now I'm walking around showing off my nerdiness with pride Cool

10  Star Wars Bomber Jacket in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by LittleLaura on: March 16, 2016 04:52:05 PM
I'm a huge Star Wars geek so when I found these awesome velcro patches online I knew I had to make something with them. They glow in the dark too! Anyway, I go thrifting a lot and when I came across this leather jacket, I knew what had to be done Grin I bought the patches and hand stitched them to the sleeves.

Holy crap...what I thought was going to be a quick project ended up taking me three days. Sewing through velcro as well as leather is really hard on the hands Angry I'm extremely happy with how it turned out but no more hand stitching for me for a while unless it's something super easy Cool

Here's a picture of the jacket before I washed and sewed the patches to it
